The Map used in My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire varies greatly from the original game.
As the Plant, Cold, Air, Water, and Earth islands (aka Natural Islands) are now merged together in the Continent, the main purpose of the Map is to provide access to these islands (known as the "Outer Islands"):
Unlike its predecessor, the Dawn of Fire Map is unlocked by default, although the islands are not.
Notes[]
- For a long time, the Dawn of Fire Map had a page labeled "Coming Soon". During the October Handler Hangout, Monster-Handler Matt explained:
“ | "I can confirm at this time that there are no new Islands planned for Dawn of Fire. I think one of the main reasons that we decided to sort of conclude the Island run in Dawn of Fire is that we wanted to make sure that anything that we had planned, had a planned relationship with My Singing Monsters. We've spoken before about the fact that the connections between the Magical Islands of the contemporary Monster World and the prehistoric Monster World's Outer Islands wasn't originally planned when either of them were being created. But that was a way to tie those things together. So we just wanted to make sure that we weren't setting up expectations in Dawn of Fire that we would have to follow through on in My Singing Monsters that we couldn't necessarily meet. So we just wanted to make sure that we managed those expectations accordingly. I know that a lot of people were disappointed at that, but obviously we're very talented - but we're still a very compact team, I would say, and we'd like to make sure that we give lots of attention and focus to My Singing Monsters." | ” |
- The official name of the "Coming Soon" poster is "Limbo Island", referencing the fact that it is in limbo between being an island and not. This does not mean that, if it were to be added, it would be called Limbo Island, as a new island would not replace the banner, but be a new island of its own.
