“ | Loodvigg’s skeletal visage may suggest it lacks a pulse, but take the time to revive it, and you will find that the Celestial of Shadow is very much alive! This peculiar pianist is a role model for all startling Shadow elementals that feel misunderstood by their peers. Though Loodvigg’s appearance may chill onlookers to the bone, inside lies a creative soul capable of elegant self-expression through the gentlest caress of it’s keys. Sadly, the occasional mood swing can lead the adolescent Celestial to be a little forceful with its keyboard - hence the braces. | ” |

Description[]
Loodvigg is a Celestial Monster representing the Shadow Element and the month of September. It was added on September 27th, 2018 during Version 2.2.2. Loodvigg is obtained by being purchased in the Market for 160 as an inactive statue, which can be revived by zapping all required Monster Eggs into it. It has the same currency production rate as the other Young Celestial Monsters. The Goal for placing your first Loodvigg rewards the player with 40 .
Song[]
Audio Samples:
Instrument: Concert grand piano
Loodvigg plays a concert grand piano, which adds an ominous tone to the song, like in Dawn of Fire. It also plays throughout the entire song, making it the only Celestial to do so. Its melody rhymes with the melody of Plixie.
VSTs[]
Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.
VST: HALion 6
Sound library: HALion Sonic Factory
SoundFont: 4.0. Bright Concert Grand
Breeding[]
Loodvigg cannot be bred. It is bought at the Market as an inactive statue that must be woken up.
Reviving[]
The allotted time to fill a Loodvigg in order to activate is 8 days. If the inventory is not completed in the time the Loodvigg resets to an empty statue and all eggs inside are lost. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]
Like other Celestials, Loodvigg can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40. Loodvigg requires a total of 4,840 for all eggs to be filled.
Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.
Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Loodvigg's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.
Income[]
Loodvigg, like all other Celestials, will produce coins, diamonds, food, and shards, but at no specified rate, although always less than a day.
Multiple Loodvigg may produce any of these four currencies independently from each other: Coins (), Shards (), Treats (), and Diamonds ().
Strategy[]
Players with high level monsters and permanent wishing torches should avoid using a breeding combination of a four-element and a three-element monsters to get a three-element monster egg, because the chances of obtaining an Ethereal monster that will block the breeding structure for a long time are high. Unless a respective rare monster is available, it is better to breed a three-element monster with another 1, 2, or 3-element monster consumed by Loodvigg.
All eggs required to revive Loodvigg correspond to all the natural monsters that can be found on Cold Island (which also contains the Ethereal monster of its corresponding type, Grumpyre). It's therefore recommended to breed only monsters that do not have the Earth element, since that element is absent on Cold Island.
Strategy by MistofMists:
- This strategy fills one Plixie, one Vhamp, and one Loodvigg at the same time. This is done because Plixie has an overreliance on Plant Island.
- This requires all 5 Natural Islands and Mirror Islands, and 2 Breeding Structures on each.
- All or no Breeding Structures are assumed to be Enhanced in order to synchronize new breeding starts.
- Each column is 4 hours (or 3 with Enhanced Breeding Structures).
- Each row is one designated Breeding Structure.
- For Monsters with a breeding time shorter than one column, multiples are listed.
- It takes slightly more than 70 hours (52 hours with Enhanced Breeding Structure), much less than the time limit of any of the Celestials.
- After having done everything in the Breeding Table, just zip through the remaining Noggin, Toe Jammer, and Mammott eggs (can be done in a bit over an hour).

Notes[]
- Loodvigg's name comes from German composer Ludwig van Beethoven. (Americanized as "lood-vig ..."). Beethoven composed many pieces, including piano sonatas and piano concertos, hence Loodvigg's piano playing.
- Like Creepuscule, Loodvigg's idle animation cannot be seen during the song, and can only be seen through methods such as in the Recording Studio or in the Book of Monsters.
- Loodvigg's dormant form was first teased in an Anniversary Month promotion.
- It, like all Celestials that represent an Ethereal Element, requires all of the Natural Monsters from its respective Ethereal's island - in this case being Cold Island.
- Despite being a piano monster, Loodvigg ironically requires the least amount of Quibble eggs.
- It shares the name "Deegz" with T-Rox.
- Loodvigg and Glaishur both have the highest number of tracks in the Recording Studio on a single island; 6 tracks on Celestial Island.
