Life-Formula is an Auxiliary Seasonal Event celebrated on Ethereal Island, and is an Element manifested by Monculus, which can also be found on Wublin Island. It is an original Monster World holiday centered around the process of creation, specifically including the Spark of Life, and is celebrated from early June to late June. It is also celebrated during a short-term Out of Season Event in Mid-December, and in a Time of the Season promotion during Anniversary Month.
During Life-Formula, the following are available: Monculus (and its Rare and Epic variants), event themed Costumes, event themed Decorations, event themed Obstacles, and the Seasonal Island Skin. There are also special sales and promotions, and sometimes new content is released.

In 2023, an Island Skin with helpful boosts was released for Ethereal Island. The skin decorates the Island for the Life-Formula season and changes the appearances of Obstacles. It is available to purchase for 
1,250 or $5 USD, but a trial is also available for free for the duration of the event.

Below details the history of past Life-Formula celebrations.
Life-Formula 2023[]
Life-Formula started on Wednesday, June 7th and ended on Monday, June 19th. This was the first celebration of Life-Formula that started off with Monculus being added to Ethereal Island and Wublin Island. It had also added Epic Whisp to Ethereal Island and Rare Blipsqueak on Wublin Island. The Life-Formula Island Skin was also released.
Life-Formula 2024[]
Life-Formula started on Wednesday, June 5th and ended on Monday, June 17th. The event introduced four new Seasonal Costumes (for Ghazt, Jeeode, Rare Boodoo, and Bellowfish), four new Seasonal Decorations (the Versegazing Telescope, the Blueprint Workshop, the Teleportal, and the Graven Ghazt), and the discovery of Epic Monculus on its respective Islands, apart from Wublin Island. The event also introduced Rare Cherubble. Epic Sooza was also made available on June 5th on Amber Island only. It was made available on Light Island on June 12th. Later in the event, Epic Nebulob and Rare Hyehehe were made available on their respective islands.

- The Element was first teased on the May 2022 episode of My Singing Monsters Live, and on social media. The teaser shows a distorted clip of the Life-Formula sigil, along with Monculus' sound, interrupted by static.
- Before Life-Formula 2023, a running joke among the community was that “every remaining Epic Ethereal” would release during the event “simultaneously.” This was referenced by the Monster-Handlers in the June 2023 Vol. 1 episode of My Singing Monsters Live.
- The seasonal obstacle rocks resemble the diamond currency packs in Dawn of Fire. This was noted in the June 2023 Vol. 1 episode of MSM Live, where they also stated that "long-time Handler-Helpers may recognize these statues", referencing the ancient nature of the Dawn of Fire era.
- The stones around the Island Skin depict all of the Monsters from Ethereal Island.
- On June 14th, players received 15 diamonds for Life-Formula 2023. This was moved to June 13th for Life-Formula 2024.
- Although Monculus is also available on Wublin Island, Life-Formula is celebrated only on Ethereal Island.
- Although Monculus and Rare Monculus are both on Wublin Island, Epic Monculus is not available there. This is because the upcoming Epic Wublins have not yet been discovered.
- Life-Formula 2024 did not receive a custom loading screen, due to Month of the Mythical III overtaking it.
