To say that the Seasonal Shanty is Jam-packed with goodwill and jubilation would be accurate, and that's largely thanks to the presence of the Jam Boree! For many years, the self-styled leader of the Shanty has taken it upon itself to try to organize the Seasonal trappings that festoon every corner of the floating hideaway. It's a very patient Monster, who looks forward every year to Anniversary Month when it throws a huge party for the migratory Seasonals coming home to roost! Jam Boree appreciates when Treats other than Cake are served at such shindigs.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Jam Boree is a Seasonal Monster that is found on Seasonal Shanty and Gold Island that celebrates the Anniversary Month season, which celebrates the game's anniversary. It was added on September 1st, 2021 during Version 3.3.0. It is best obtained by breeding Punkleton and Hoola. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 16 hours, and 24 minutes long. Jam Boree has a low Coin production compared to other Monsters. Jam Boree can be placed on Gold Island once it has been fed to level 15 on Seasonal Shanty. The Goal for placing your first Jam Boree rewards the player with 7 Diamonds.

Song[]

Audio Sample:

Instrument: Synth with an Auto-Wah effect

Jam Boree's candles sing to produce a hypnotic, airy synth sound.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

The VST for Jam Boree has not yet been found.

Breeding[]

Jam Boree can be bred with the following breeding combo:

Note that breeding Seasonal Monsters is not 100% guaranteed to get you the Monster. You might have to try multiple times.

(Best choice, 100% chance of a Jam Boree if Rare Jam Boree is unavailable)

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Jam Boree:

Notes[]

  • Jam Boree's name comes from the word jamboree, which means a large festive gathering. This is due to Jam Boree celebrating the game's anniversary, which is the biggest event of the year. Its name might also come from the word jam, since Jam Boree is a pastry.
  • According to this TikTok post, Jam Boree is vanilla flavored, although it might be the Monster World equivalent of vanilla.
  • Jam Boree is the only Seasonal Monster:
    • to take up three beds and have a 3x3 grid size.
    • to not be a limited-time Monster on any of its islands, as it can be bred on Seasonal Shanty or placed on Gold Island at any time.
    • to not be a Core or Aux. Seasonal.
    • that can only be bred on Seasonal Shanty, despite being on another Island as well.
    • whose permanent home is Seasonal Shanty.
    • that cannot be zapped into any Adult Celestial, since it is only breedable on Seasonal Shanty, and Seasonal Shanty's power generator interferes with the ability to zap eggs from there.
  • Jam Boree has the highest breeding time amongst the Common Seasonal Monsters.
  • A group of Jam Borees is called a "batch" (per Monster-Handler Matt, Extra-Life 2021 Live Stream).
    • Also according to the Extra-Life 2021 Live Stream, Jam Boree has organs.
  • All of Jam Boree's likes, excluding the Anniversary Month Path, reference other games created by BBB, those being Thumpies, Fling a Thing!, and Finder's Keep respectively.
  • The big candle on top of Jam Boree changes with every Anniversary Month celebration.
  • If counting the candles on its head, Jam Boree is the tallest standing Seasonal in the game. But if not counting the candles, it shares its height with Monculus (not including any Monster being biggified and implying that every Monster is the same level).
  • Jam Boree is the fourth Monster whose design has changed after being released. The first was Hawlo, the second was Mammott (and technically Rare Mammott as well), and the third was G'day.
    • As of the 11th anniversary, Jam Boree is the only Monster to have received a design change more than once.
  • Also, as of the Version 4.0.0 Update of My Singing Monsters, Jam Boree's classification was changed from "Aux. Seasonal" to simply "Seasonal".
    • This was done to ensure that the other Aux. Seasonals on Seasonal Shanty can’t be placed on Gold Island, but it can. Additionally, while Core Seasonals can also be placed on Gold Island, they can only be placed while residing on a Natural or Mirror Island.
  • The typeface of Jam Boree's candle, as well as its variants, is Cooper Black.
    • According to the Update 4.0 Showcase video, Jam Boree loves the font and does not want to change it.
  • Jam Boree and Viveine have some similarities:
    • They are both on an Island in the Higher Plane.
    • They are both on an Island with Shugabush.
    • They were both added to an Island along with a Monster(s) with a new sound.
    • The songs on the Islands they celebrate their respective Seasonal Events on (Gold Island for Jam Boree and Amber Island for Viveine) got extended with their arrivals.
  • Jam Boree's track on Gold Island used to sound slightly different on mobile compared to Steam. However, with the release of Ethereal Workshop, its sound was updated to match Steam’s version.
  • Jam Boree is the second Seasonal, and fourth overall Monster, to have heterochromia, since all six of its eyes are different colors. The first Seasonal with this condition was Blabbit, and the three other overall Monsters with this condition are Rare Toe Jammer, Barrb, and Adult Scaratar.
