Dawn of Fire

Ancient legends tell of a cacophony that lasted eons. Yet from this primordial clangor, a wave of harmony swelled, crested, and crashed across the void, pooling into a placid sea of euphony and starlight. Thus the living ocean was formed. Reflected in its shimmering surface, the distant twinkle of Ocean's Tears echoes with the Celestial Hornacle's triumphant song, heralding an age of music - a harbinger of good news and even better grooves.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Hornacle is a Celestial Monster exclusive to Starhenge. As a Celestial Monster, it is only available at a specific month. It is obtained by completing the Daily Login Game or bought from the Market for 1,250 Diamonds (Dawn of Fire) in January.

Song[]

Instrument: French horn

Its song consists of many layers of French horn sounds.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

VST: HALion 6
Sound library: HALion Symphonic Orchestra
SoundFont: Horns Tutti Combi

Breeding[]

Hornacle cannot be bred; instead, like all Celestials, it can only be placed after its egg reaches the portal in the Daily Login Game. 24 spaces have to be done before Hornacle can reach its portal. A 31-day time limit appears for all Hornacles to reach the portal.

Hornacle is available in the Daily Login Game during every January.

Teleporting[]

Like all Celestials, Hornacle automatically gets teleported to Starhenge if their species' egg reaches the portal within the time limits.

Notes[]

  • Hornacle's name is a portmanteau of "horn", a group of instruments, and "barnacle," an oceanic creature with which it appears to be covered in.
  • The Ocean's Tears constellation, the constellation Hornacle travels on, had been accidentally released into the Weathered Winds constellation for Attmoz. This made Hornacle's constellation appear a month earlier than expected.
  • This Celestial is the first Celestial (and by extension, Monster) of 2017.
  • Hornacle holds the record for "most creatures present" with Hornacle itself, barnacles, corals, and a starfish. It consists of approximately 24 creatures.
  • Hornacle was the first Celestial to have its egg teased before its release, being teased in the 1.5x Tapjoy offer.
  • This is the first brass Celestial, the 3rd brass monster in DoF, and the 5th brass monster overall, with a 6th introduced later.
  • On the social media teaser, you see bubbles, coming from possibly Hornacle, meaning the teaser most likely takes place underwater, not space, because Hornacle makes no bubbles on above water on Starhenge in its animation, unlike Blabbit, who creates bubbles on land (on Gold Island and Seasonal Shanty).
  • Hornacle is the second Celestial to have a discount, the first being Attmoz. Link. From Jan [2017|16-18 2017].
    • It is also shown with some facts about Hornacle. It shows that Hornacles are very heavy and its heavy weight sometimes "threatens to topple it over".
    • This is referenced on Celestial Island when Attmoz hits its first strike.
  • If you are born under the Water Celestial Hornacle, your astrological sign is either a Capricorn♑︎ (Jan 1st - Jan 19) or an Aquarius♒︎ (Jan 20th - Jan 31st).
  • Hornacle is the second Monster to make its series debut on a Sunday, with the third Monster being Adult Torrt and the first Monster being Ghazt.
