HippityHops hippy to the hop, and they don't stop! The conjoined siblings Hippity and Hop act as each other's hypeMon during the day, cheering on one another's mouthy beats. During cold nights, they burrow deep underground to their subterranean home, using only echolocation and the sensory organs topping their ears and arms to navigate the pitch black tunnels. Together HippityHops symbolize the harmonious duality of vocals and percussion.
Monster Bio

Description[]

HippityHop is a Double-Element Magical Monster that is found on Faerie Island and Magical Nexus. It was added on December 11th, 2019 during Version 2.3.5. It is best obtained by breeding Noggin and Floot Fly. By default, its breeding time is 9 hours long. As a Double-Elemental, HippityHop does not have a high Coin production. The Goal for placing your first HippityHop rewards the player with 25,000 Coins and 1 Diamonds.

On Magical Nexus, HippityHop is obtained by Transposing by spending 2,000,000 Coins once fed to level 18. Its Transposing time is 1 day, 3 hours long. Unlike Faerie Island, HippityHop does not produce currency on Magical Nexus.

Song[]

Audio Sample:

Voice actor: Sam Clark

HippityHop scats and beatboxes in unison, making a vocal percussion sound, with one producing an extremely deep voice and the other producing a feminine high voice. A series of "oots" and "dahts" and "dows" can be heard in their sound.

On Faerie Island, they go "Oon-titi-kah-ti-oon-ti-oon-KEAH, oon-titi-kah-tih-oon-ti-dah-down!"

On Magical Nexus, they go "Oon-chika-da-da-Chika-dah! Oon-chicka-da-da-dah-down!"

Breeding[]

HippityHop can be bred with the elements Earth (Earth Element) and Faerie (Faerie Element). There is only one breeding combination:

Note that breeding a Double-Element Faerie Elemental is not a guaranteed success, as with all other Fire/Magical Double-Elementals.

HippityHop can also be bred in breeding failures. Some combinations that result in a HippityHop in a breeding failure include:

(Best choice, 100% chance of a HippityHop if Rare HippityHop is unavailable)

(Good choice, very small chance of getting Pladdie, may result in Epic Ffidyll if available.)

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by HippityHop:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near HippityHop or when HippityHop and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be HippityHop's likes as well:

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" HippityHop eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of HippityHop eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Possible Monster Names[]

To see all possible names for HippityHop, see Monster Names.

  • "HoppiteeHip" is HippityHop's default name, but (almost) backwards.
  • "PiggeeBakk" is a reference to the blue rabbit having a piggyback ride on the pink rabbit.

Parodies[]

Notes[]

  • HippityHop’s name is based on "Hip Hop" (the music genre) and alluding to jump-like behavior (since they're lagomorphs).
  • The opening line of HippityHop's bio is most likely a reference to lyrics sung in The Sugarhill Gang's song "Rapper's Delight".
  • Each of HippityHop's nicknames are written with CamelCase.
  • Which conjoined Monster is Hippity and which is Hop varies by each pair.[1]
  • Strangely, each time HippityHop sings, a wooden block being hit can be faintly heard in the background. This is likely a metronome.
