Description[]
The Grain is the first Crafting Item to be unlocked in the Garden Patch and overall, the third Crafting Item to be unlocked in the game. Its Trading Post Price Range is 98 - 163 Coins (
). It is unlocked at Level 3.
Uses[]
Grains are needed to craft into Apple Tarts in the Bakery, which requires 1 Grain, Bamboo Flutes in the Workshop, which requires 1, Polished Vegidian Crystals in the Jeweler, which requires 2, Single Festive Costumes in the Costume Trunk, which requires 3, Cookies in the Bakery, which requires 2, Lemon Cakes in the Bakery, which requires 3, Mud Pies in the Bakery, which requires 2, Pizzas in the Bakery, which requires 2, Nutbars in the Candy Factory, which requires 3, and String Noodles in the Cooking Pot, which requires 4, and Pumpkin Pies in the Bakery, which requires 2.

Grains can also be fed directly to monsters and can be used in the Skyship.
Crafting[]
To craft the Grain, simply drag the "Grain" icon from the "Items" menu and into the slots menu, from top-left to top-right, all the way to bottom-left to bottom-right (if the player has unlocked more slots). Then it will start generating, "cultivating", or producing a number of Grain, the number depending on how many slots they dragged into.
Alternatively, drag the "Grain" icon into the Structure itself to make the Garden Patch start crafting one wheat Grain; to craft and/or cultivate multiple wheat Grains, repeat the process until they have the number of pending Grains they desire.
It takes 2 minutes to craft one wheat Grain without upgrades. On a max Garden Patch, it takes 1 minute and 22 seconds to craft one wheat Grain.
Once the Grain has been collected from crafting it, it rewards 1 
per Grain.
Skyship Requirements[]
When required in the Skyship, the 3 orders can require from 1-8 wheat Grains. This could make a total of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, or 24 wheat Grains. However, it is more likely to get bigger orders if the Skyship is completed often.
Strategy[]
Leveling up Garden Patches can never go wrong, and despite the fact that Grain only takes 2 minutes to craft without upgrades, leveling up the structure can help. Buying the extra slots can also help, allowing the player to go idle for a longer period of time without having to come back. Filling up all available spots in any available Garden Patches can generate Grain fairly fast, and even faster with upgrades.
Notes[]
- The appearance of the Grain is a stalk of wheat with wheat grains and wheat hairs on it, referencing most wheat grains in real life.
- Also, every crafting item that requires Grains is a reference to real life. Grains must be "ground" to make different pastries, hence the reason.
- The Grain is the second Primary Crafting Item to be unlocked.
- The Grain is the third-most required Crafting Item, with 11, before Bamboo, with 13 and Seasonal Cheer, with 15.
- Prior to Version 2.0.0, it costed 18-30 Coins (
) and took 1 minute to craft. This was the result of the buff to all Farming Structures that allows all primary Crafting Items to be crafted simultaneously on the same structure. - In Version 2.3.0, all items in the Market quintupled in value. But some took a few Coins off after this occurred. The Grain's previous price range was 20 - 33 Coins ().
