Note that unlike Dawn of Fire, breeding Double Element Fire Monsters is not a guaranteed success.
If you already have a Glowl, these breeding combinations are more efficient.

Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Glowl:

Revitalizing[]
On Amber Island, Glowl must be powered up rather than being bred. Unlike Wublins and Celestials, the allotted time to fill a Vessel does not start when the first egg is zapped, but instead are only available to purchase and fill at select times. The inventory must be completed in this time. When a purchased vessel is incomplete after the time, it will disappear and half of the relics spent will be given back. You will also get the option to revive Glowl by purchasing the missing eggs with Diamonds. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]
Like other Monsters on Amber Island, Glowl can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40
. Glowl requires a total of 720
for all eggs to be filled.
Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.
Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Glowl's inventory with 1
per egg. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.
Availability[]
- For a list of when this Monster has been available on Amber Island, see Breeding Availability
Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Relics per month (28 days) and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's level also increases this limit.
Fire Islands[]
Amber Island[]
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
- Main article: Zapping
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Glowl eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

|
Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Glowl eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]
- Glowl's name is a portmanteau of "glow" and "owl."
- Glowl is the only Double-Element Fire Monster to not appear on a Magical Island, since the Air Element is not present on the Magical Islands.
- Glowl and Phangler are the first Double-Element Monsters to be released on Amber Island.
- Glowl was the one responsible for reuniting Kayna with the Fire Monsters on Fire Haven, and for finding the construction site for Fire Oasis as well.
- A group of Glowls is called a "flare" of Glowls (My Singing Monsters Live, Ep. 86).
- Glowl's tracks on Amber Island had swapped animations and sounds in the Recording Studio. This was later fixed.
- According to a piece of concept art, Glowl was originally going to be called Skowl.
- This would've been a combination of the words "scorch", "owl" and “scowl”.
- Following the release of Fire Oasis, the Monster Handlers planned 4 more islands (now the Magical Islands) for Monsters of the Fire Element. Had these Fire Islands come to fruition, Glowl would have been the Fire Double with the most appearances (5), going to go to more than 4 islands.
- Stogg would have been a close contender at 4 islands; what makes this unique is that Glowl and Stogg would have been the only Fire Doubles to increase their number of appearances, the other 3 staying at 3.
- According to a Discord message from Dave Kerr, the sound for Glowl on Light Island (back when it was planned to be a Fire Island) was going to resemble its sound on The Continent, but the sound itself hasn't been revealed.[1]
- With this context in mind, we can assume that Pluckbill is what would’ve been Glowl on Light Island.
