“ | A Glowl would seemingly make an excellent spy, soaring high above its flightless companions, but its fire-bright tail feathers make it easy to spot. Nevertheless, this monster maintains a bird's eye view of the world below and is always up-to-date on the latest happenings. | ” |

Description[]
Glowl is a Double-Element Fire Monster that is first unlocked on Fire Haven. It was added on November 21st, 2018, during the 2.2.4 Fire Haven update. It is best obtained by breeding Tweedle and Kayna. By default, its breeding time is 10 hours long. As a Double-Elemental, Glowl does not have a high Coin production. The Goal for placing your first Glowl rewards the player with 25,000 and 2 .
On Amber Island, Glowl is only available at select times. When available, it is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 10 Relics () as a vessel, which then can be revitalized by zapping eggs into it. As a Double-Elemental, Glowl does not have a high Relic production.

Comma's indicate when a monster stops singing in the middle of their track.
Breeding[]
Glowl is bred with the Elements Air and Fire.
Note that unlike Dawn of Fire, breeding Double Element Fire Monsters is not a guaranteed success.
If you already have a Glowl, these breeding combinations are more efficient.
- + Glowl and Rare Glowl
(Best choice, 100% chance of a Glowl if Rare Glowl is unavailable)
(Good choices, low chance of Tring/Sneyser. Can result in an Epic Spurrit on Fire Oasis if it is available)
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Glowl:
- Dandidoo (requires level 9) ()
- Sneyser (level 9) (, )
- Ziggurab (level 9) ()
- Rootitoot (level 9) ()
- Drummidary (level 9) (,)
- Dragon Tower (level 20) (, )

- Tree Hut (level 17) (,, )
See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.
Note: On Amber Island, all of Glowl's likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Glowl's happiness.

Revitalizing[]
On Amber Island, Glowl must be powered up rather than being bred. Unlike Wublins and Celestials, the allotted time to fill a Vessel does not start when the first egg is zapped, but are instead are only available to purchase and fill at select times. The inventory must be completed in this time. When a purchased vessel is incomplete after the time, it will disappear and half of the relics spent will be given back. You will also get the option to revive Glowl by purchasing the missing eggs with Diamonds. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]
Like other Monsters on Amber Island, Glowl can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40. Glowl requires a total of 720 for all eggs to be filled.
Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.
Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Glowl's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

|
Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Relics per month (28 days) and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
- Main article: Zapping
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Glowl eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Glowl eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]
- Glowl's name is a portmanteau of "glow" and "owl."
- Similarly, a possible name, "Theena", probably references the Greek goddess Athena, with whom owls were associated.
- Glowl is the only Double Element Fire Monster to not appear on a Magical Island. This is likely because it was on both Fire Haven and Fire Oasis.
- Glowl was the one responsible for reuniting Kayna with the Fire Monsters on Fire Haven, and for finding the construction site for Fire Oasis as well.
- A group of Glowls is called a "flare" of Glowls (My Singing Monsters Live, Ep. 86).
- Glowl's tracks on Amber Island had swapped animations and sounds in the Recording Studio. This was later fixed.
- Glowl's Vessel requires three species of Monsters that share a trait with Glowl: Dandidoo, Pango, and Quibble; this being that they all resemble real-world birds.
- According to a piece of concept art, Glowl was originally going to be called Skowl.
- This would've been a portmanteau of the words "scorch" and "owl".
