My Singing Monsters

Even the mightiest of Celestials has to start somewhere! The revived Galvana enjoys its new found freedom from age-old responsibilities, blissfully unaware that its very own creations roam the Monster World. Unshackled from the burdens of guardianship, Galvana instead releases its raw Electrical energy through play, even toying with the very orb that contains its power.

Description[]

Galvana is a Celestial Monster representing the Electricity Element and the month of July. It was added on February 28th, 2019, during version 2.2.6. Galvana is obtained by being purchased in the Market for 28 Keys (Keys) as an inactive statue, which can be revived by zapping all required Monster eggs into it. It has the same Currency production rate as the other young Celestial Monsters. The Goal for placing your first Galvana rewards the player with 28 Diamonds (Diamonds).

Song[]

Audio Sample:

Voice actress: Sarah Parsons

Instrument: Synthesized flute

Galvana sings with Vhamp, and it makes a high-pitched flute sound (presumably from its orb as it glows), as well as a faintly heard "ohh" vocal track. It sounds much like the flute sound heard at the end of the Celestial Island trailer, but without the additional vocal track.

VSTs[]

Main article: VSTs

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

The VST for Galvana has not yet been found.

Breeding[]

Galvana cannot be bred. Like all Celestials, it is bought at the Market as an inactive statue that must be woken up.

Reviving[]

The allotted time to fill a Galvana in order to activate is 28 days. If the inventory is not completed in the time the Galvana resets to an empty statue and all eggs inside are lost. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Celestials, Galvana can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40Diamonds. Galvana requires a total of 6,000Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Galvana's inventory with 1 Wildcards per egg. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Income[]

Galvana, like all other Celestials, will produce Coins (Coins), Diamonds (Diamonds), Treats (Treats), and Shards (Shards), but at no specified rate, although always less than a day. Multiple Galvanas may produce any of these Currencies independently from each other.

Strategy[]

The following section details strategy for reviving Galvana, for general strategy that can apply to any Monster, see Zapping#Strategy

For this strategy, the Natural Islands, the Fire Islands, and the Magical Islands are all required.

Start off by breeding the Quads, as they have the longest breeding times, then breed the Doubles, then the Triples, because the breeding would happen during your sleep, it is recommended to breed Shrubb, Furcorn, T-Rox and Clamble on Plant Island, Pango, Spunge and Bowgart on Cold Island, Congle and Scups on Air Island (after all of the Natural Doubles are zapped), Quibble, Oaktopus, Reedling and Pummel on Water Island, Dandidoo, Cybop, PomPom and Thumpies on Earth Island, Maw and Glowl on Fire Oasis, Flowah on Light Island, Drumpler and Stogg on Faerie Island, and Fwog on Bone Island, as to leave Fire Haven open for the Fire Triples.

After all of the Doubles and Triples are zapped, start breeding Tweedle, Potbelly and Kayna on every Island that they're on (except for Fire Haven), and finally, zip through all of the Noggin, Toe Jammer and Mammott Eggs.

Notes[]

  • Galvana's name refers to "galvanic," which calls back to Luigi Galvani, one of the earliest researchers in electrical current. Galvani, in parallel with Alessandro Volta, invented the first electrical batteries, which are sometimes described as "galvanic cells" or "voltaic cells." The word "galvanize" has come to mean "shock into moving" (among other things).
  • Galvana was the last Celestial to be released on Celestial Island.
    • Coincidentally, it was also the last Celestial to be released on Starhenge in Dawn of Fire.
    • It is also the last Celestial in the base game to ascend to its adult form.
  • The flute part of Galvana's sound was teased in the Celestial Island trailer.
  • Despite more Fire Monsters being released, Galvana doesn't require the rest of the Fire Elementals. The same applies to Furnoss. This is because Galvana needs all breedable Natural and Fire Monsters that were currently in the game when it was released, much like how Furnoss needs all breedable Fire Monsters that were currently in the game when it was released.
  • Galvana requires the most eggs out of any Celestial on Celestial Island.
  • Galvana requires the most unique Monster species' eggs out of any Celestial, and out of any zapping or boxing inventory in the entire game, requiring eggs from 38 unique species of Monsters.
  • Galvana's sound was changed to a vocal and a flute on Celestial Island instead of only vocal, like on Starhenge.
  • Galvana's arms resemble Wubbox's, and the blue orb it stands upon greatly resembles Wubbox's power source.
    • In the September 2021 Handler Hangout, it was fully confirmed that Galvana created Wubbox. This was also fully confirmed in MSM Live Episode #017.
    • In MSM Live episode #017, it was also confirmed that Galvana's orb has involvement with its synthesized flute sound.
    • Galvana also has the possible Monster name "Xobbuw," which is Wubbox's default name, but in reverse.
  • Galvana and Furnoss are the only young Celestials to require Fire Monsters.
  • Prior to version 5.0.0, all Celestials cost Diamonds in the Market. Galvana's price was 150 Diamonds (Diamonds).
    • The goal reward for placing your first of each Celestial was also a different amount of Diamonds, Galvana's being 50 Diamonds (Diamonds).
