My Singing Monsters

Upon its revival, Furnoss sensed that once-bright flame of the Fire Element had dimmed to a faint ember. The fiercely devoted Celestial of Fire recalled that even the tiniest of sparks can be reignited and began to drum diligently, its resounding beat stoking the flames of hope within all Fire Elementals. With the Fire beginning to glow again, Furnoss now stores the Monster World's excess embers in its Bakery-like tummy. It has rescued countless turkey dinners from burnt ends in the process.

Description[]

Furnoss is a Celestial Monster representing the Fire Element and month of February. It was added on November 29th, 2018 during Version 2.2.4. Furnoss is obtained by being purchased in the Market for 85 Diamonds as an inactive statue, which can be revived by zapping all required Monster Eggs into it. It has the same currency production rate as the other Celestial Monsters.

Song[]

Audio Samples:

Instrument: Tom and bass drums with heavy reverb

Furnoss' song, just like its DoF counterpart, consists of drums. However, they are mostly toms and bass drums with heavy reverb. It also plays the drums in the Celestial Island trailer. Although probably a coincidence, the drums' pattern shares a similarity to the sound of thunder.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]

Furnoss cannot be bred. It is bought at the Market as an inactive statue that must be woken up.

Reviving[]

The allotted time to fill a Furnoss in order to activate is 25 days. If the inventory is not completed in time, the Furnoss resets to an empty statue and all eggs inside are lost. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Celestials, Furnoss can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40Diamonds. Furnoss requires a total of 3,760Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Furnoss's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Income[]

Furnoss, like all other Celestials, will produce coins, diamonds, food, and shards, but at no specified rate, although always less than a day.

Multiple Furnoss may produce any of these four currencies independently from each other: Coins (Coins), Shards (Shards), Treats (Treats), and Diamonds (Diamonds).

Strategy[]

For this strategy, you must have access to all natural, fire, and magical islands and all their base monsters. Mirror islands are not required, as most of the breeding takes place on the fire and magical islands. You don't need torches or enhanced breeding structures, but it would be nice to have them.

Breed the Shrubbs on plant island, Dandidoos on cold island, Cybops on air island, and Reedlings on water and earth islands, then after you are done, begin to breed the required Potbellies and Tweedles (breed them with the island quad). This part is the least difficult part, so you can do these monsters on any of the natural islands you want, but do not use the fire and magical islands.

Four of the required monsters can exclusively be found on Fire Haven. It's suggested that you have both a normal Tring and a Rare Tring to consistently get Trings, but it's not required. If you don't have a Rare Tring, you can use a Tring and a Stogg, which also has a high chance of breeding a Tring. You can also use the single element + triple element breeding strategy, staring with Noggin + Barrb. This makes it so even if you fail to breed a Tring, you still get either a Noggin (which has a very low breeding time and is required) or a Barrb (which is required). If you do this until your Furnoss is filled with Barrbs, simply move to the next single + triple combo (although they will take significantly more time). Even then, it is still suggested that you have a Tring in your breeding structure ready to be zapped to your Furnoss when you start, as Tring has a very long breeding time (40 hours or 30 hours w. enhanced) and has a low chance of success. After you have gotten both required Trings, simply use Tring + fire triple element for a guaranteed way to get the remaining fire triples.

Lastly, on Fire Oasis and all magical islands, breed Glowls/Flowahs/Stogg until you have all required, then breed Kaynas.

Remember that you can come back to the game multiple times a day (eg: if you breed a Reedling at 10 am, then it'll be done by 10 pm). It is suggested to return multiple times per day in order to speed up the process. Good luck!

Notes[]

  • Furnoss' name comes from the word "furnace", a device used for heating. A furnace is very similar to an oven, but can get much hotter: they are used to make steel, pottery, etc. Foúrnos in Greek also means oven.
  • Furnoss was discounted from February 28th and for a short while for 20%, after the release of Galvana.
  • Despite Fire Oasis, Light Island, Psychic Island, Faerie Island, Bone Island, and Amber Island being released, Furnoss doesn't require the rest of the Fire Elementals. The same applies to Galvana.
  • Furnoss was discovered by Attmoz, Torrt, Blasoom, Hornacle, and Glaishur. This is a reference to Fire being the lost 6th Natural Element, and Fire Elementals being rediscovered by the then-current Naturals.
  • All monsters Furnoss needs can be found on Fire Haven.
  • Furnoss has the highest sell price out of all the Celestials when revived, at 5,614,875 coins.
  • Furnoss used to be a 3x3 monster, but it was changed to 2x2 to match its DoF counterpart's size in version 2.4.1.
  • In Furnoss' dormant form, it appears that the sticks it uses to make music with in Dawn of Fire aren't there, yet when it's active, it does have them.
  • Furnoss was the first being in the Monster World dimension, and part of the group of twelve Celestials, to be born from a Big Bang-like event that disrupted the Primordial Cosmic Hush. [1]
    • It "was forged in the epicenter of this Big Bang event, [which] would later be referred to as The Living Core."
  • This monster was likely responsible for the release of Fire Haven, since being the Celestial of Fire, it would require Fire Monsters.
    • This can be further evidenced by the fact that Furnoss released only a week after the release of Fire Haven.
