“ | A dimmed Fluoress exudes a gloomy aura, but the moment it joins the Monster chorus, the demure avatar of Light shines with all the fluorescent radiance of its Element! Each panel of a Fluoress's 'skirt' is packed with Fluorophyll, a Magically-occurring chemical that responds to sudden agitation with a luminous light show that's designed to draw in new friends when a Fluoress is feeling much too bashful. | ” |

Description[]
Fluoress is the Single-Element of Light and is found on Light Island. This Magical Monster was added on September 30th, 2020 during Version 3.0.1. It is best obtained by purchasing from the Market for 30,000 . By default, its incubation time is 2 hours long. As a Single-Elemental on Light Island, Fluoress does not have a high Coin production.
On Magical Sanctum, Fluoress is best obtained by teleporting when reaching level 15. It is one of the best Shard producers, only being outmatched by the Single-Elemental Rare Monsters.
Song[]
Audio Samples:
Music Box (Memory Game):
Choir:
Instruments: Music Box and Female Choir
Fluoress plays the sound of a music box or a glockenspiel. While at the near end of each note, it will sing a high-pitched, synthesized female choir, similar to Candelavra.
On Magical Sanctum, Fluoress' voice is deeper than on Light Island.
VSTs[]
Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]
Being a Single Elemental, Fluoress has no specific breeding combination. Instead, it is purchasable in the Market at Level 9. After a Fluoress is owned, another Fluoress may be bred as a result of breeding failure while trying to breed a Fluoress with another monster. Although any other monster may be used, combinations using a Quad Elemental will result in a Fluoress almost every time. However, unlike with Natural Singles, these combinations still have a chance to result in a Quad Elemental.
- + Blow't and Fluoress
- + Enchantling and Fluoress
The Rare variant of any breeding Monster can be used instead of the Common variant; and much like most Rares, a Fluoress can breed with its Rare counterpart, which will always result in another Fluoress. Also note that this combination will never result in another Rare Fluoress.

Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Fluoress:
- Flowah (requires level 9) ()
- Frondley (level 9) ()
- Inverdigus Fern (level 25)
- Tree Forte Tower (level 17)
- Fuzzle Tree (level 13) ()

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Light Island[]
Magical Sanctum[]
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Fluoress eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Fluoress eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]
- Fluoress' name is a portmanteau of "fluorescent" and "dress".
- Fluoress was the first Monster to be released with the Light Element.
- The rest of the Light Elementals were released each Wednesday after the release of Light Island.
- As shown by Fiddlement's teaser, Fluoress represents the color green.
- Fluoress is the only Magical vocal Monster on Light Island.
- When Magical Sanctum first released, Fluoress' skirt did not emit its light waves while it played. This was eventually fixed.
- The Book of Monsters image and breeding portrait for Fluoress depict an earlier version of its design, having slightly less detail than the final design.
- When Fluoress first released, it was the only Single-Element Monster to be able to breed with other Monsters, but was unable to produce any new Monsters.
- The "Fluorophyll" mentioned in its bio may be based on chlorophyll, a pigment in plants that give them their green color, similar to how "Flourophyll" allows Flouress' dress panels to glow. This may also be why Fluoress represents the color green.
