Long-believed to be little more than myth, the Monsters were all aflutter to find that this mysterious Magical isn't just make-believe! The Floot Fly's mask holds much more than melodious musings: it also holds the Faerie Elemental's deepest secrets. The best chance to catch this Monster unmasked is during its nightly skinny dip in a tinkling freshet, but that's a sight you simply can't unsee.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Floot Fly is the Single-Element of Faerie and is found on Faerie Island. This Magical Monster was added on December 11th, 2019 during Version 2.3.5. It is best obtained by purchasing from the Market for 30,000 Coins. By default, its incubation time is 4 hours long. As a Single-Elemental on Faerie Island, Floot Fly does not have a high Coin production.

On Magical Sanctum, Floot Fly is best obtained by teleporting when reaching level 15. It is one of the best Shard producers, only being outmatched by the Single-Elemental Rare Monsters.

Floot Fly plays the sound of a pan flute.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]

Being a Single-Elemental, Floot Fly has no specific breeding combination. Instead, it is purchasable in the Market at Level 9. After a Floot Fly is owned, another Floot Fly may be bred as a result of breeding failure while trying to breed a Floot Fly with another monster. Although any other Monster may be used, combinations using a Quad-Elemental will result in a Floot Fly almost every time. However, unlike with Natural Singles, these combinations still have a chance to result in a Quad Elemental. Examples of this include:

The Rare variant of any breeding Monster can be used instead of the Common variant; and much like most Rares, a Floot Fly can breed with its Rare counterpart, which will always result in another Floot Fly. This combination will never result in another Rare Floot Fly.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Floot Fly:

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Floot Fly or when Floot Fly and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Floot Fly's likes as well:

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Floot Fly eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Floot Fly Egg
Floot Fly
Adult Scaratar
Adult Scaratar

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Floot Fly eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Possible Monster Names[]

To see all possible names for Floot Fly, see Monster Names.

  • "Fauxrrister" is a combination of the word faux, meaning fake, and Quarrister. This is a reference to the fact that Floot Fly was originally going to have what are now Quarrister's elements.

Notes[]

  • Floot Fly's name is a pun on "fruit fly" and the fact that it plays a kind of flute.
  • Floot Fly was originally a scrapped Monster meant to have Quarrister's elements, but it was reintroduced on December 11, 2019, as a Magical Monster. Because of this, Floot Fly and Quarrister both have the same decorations as Likes: The Tree Hut, the Bass String Bridge, and the Zuffle Tree.
    • Without counting Rare Magicals, this makes Floot Fly the only Magical Monster to not like any of the PS Vita decorations.
  • In some trailers and teasers, Floot Fly is shown without its mask, showing a green face on its head.
  • On Faerie Island, Floot Fly plays the same melody that Dandidoo sings on the Continent in Dawn of Fire, but in a different key and tempo.
  • It has been hinted that the face of the Seasonal Monster Ffidyll inspired the design of Floot Fly's mask, thus modeling it in its likeness.
    • Coincidentally, both Floot Fly and Ffidyll's names start with the letter F, and both of them do not have visible mouths. They are also both on Faerie Island, which also starts with an F.
  • Floot Fly is one of ten Monsters on Magical Sanctum that do not play in the final verse, the others being Osstax, Carillong, and the Dipsters.
  • Floot Fly and the Wimmzies are the only Faerie Island monsters with nicknames referencing Quarrister.
