Floogull is the paragon of nosiness. This curious critter's protracted proboscis may excel at sniffing out lost items, but it also tends to find its way into other Monsters' private affairs. Remembering not to meddle is a tough lesson every Floogull learns the hard way.

Quick Answers

What is the best way to breed a Floogull? toggle section
Breeding a Floogull involves combinations like Cybop and Kayna, Stogg and Tweedle, or Glowl and Noggin. Stogg+Tweedle is preferred for its minimal wait time per failed attempt, while Glowl+Noggin allows for quick retries. Including a Common Floogull in breeding attempts can yield a Rare Floogull. Specifically, Floogull and Tring is a viable choice with a minimal chance of Tring. If a Rare Floogull is not available, combining Floogull and Rare Floogull ensures a Floogull.

What is the significance of the Floogull in the Fire Haven update? toggle section
Floogull, a Triple-Element Fire Monster, was introduced to Fire Haven and Amber Island in the 2.2.4 Fire Haven update on November 21, 2018. It's best bred using Noggin and Glowl, with a standard breeding time of 20 hours. Floogull has a reasonable Coin production, but Tring is suggested for better results. On Amber Island, it's only available at certain times. A Rare Floogull variant was added on July 4, 2019, during Version 2.3.0.

What instrument does the Floogull represent? toggle section
Floogull symbolizes the flugelhorn, a horn instrument. It produces a flugelhorn or trumpet sound during its song. Its design draws inspiration from a gull's bird-like appearance and different insectoids. The horn sections in the music of Earth, Wind, & Fire, a musical group, may have inspired Floogull's sound and design.

When is the Floogull available on Amber Island? toggle section
Floogull becomes available on Amber Island at specific intervals. It can be acquired by evolving a Common Floogull of at least level 4 through the Crucible, taking 1 day, 2 hours, and 30 minutes. Alternatively, it can be bought in the Market for 20 as a vessel, revitalized by zapping eggs. Floogull was introduced to Amber Island on July 4th, 2019 in Version 2.3.0.

Description[]

Floogull is a Triple-Element Fire Monster that goes to Fire Haven and Amber Island. It was added on November 21st, 2018, during the 2.2.4 Fire Haven update. It is best obtained by breeding Noggin and Glowl. By default, its breeding time is 20 hours long. As a Fire Triple-Elemental, Floogull has decent Coin production, though Tring is recommended. The Goal for placing your first Floogull rewards the player with 50,000 Coins (Coins) and 3 Relics (Relics).

On Amber Island, Floogull is only available at select times. When available, it is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 20 Relics as a Vessel, which then can be revitalized by zapping eggs into it. As a Fire Triple-Elemental, Floogull has decent Relic production.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology (VST) is a plugin format that allows audio software to integrate with digital audio workstations (DAWs). VST plugins come in two main forms: instruments (VSTi), which generate sounds, such as synthesizers and sample libraries, and effects, which process audio, through tools like reverb or distortion. Individual sounds within these plugins may be referred to as patches, presets, samples, or articulations, depending on the plugin. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VST plugins to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters. Note that many pages incorrectly label patches as "SoundFonts", an unrelated audio format.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Floogull:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: On Amber Island, all of Floogull's likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Floogull's happiness.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Floogull or when Floogull and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Floogull's likes as well:

Revitalizing[]

On Amber Island, Floogull must be powered up rather than being bred. Unlike Wublins and Celestials, the allotted time to fill a Vessel does not start when the first egg is zapped, but instead are only available to purchase and fill at select times. The inventory must be completed in this time. When a purchased vessel is incomplete after the time, it will disappear and half of the relics spent will be given back. You will also get the option to revive Floogull by purchasing the missing eggs with Diamonds. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Monsters on Amber Island, Floogull can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40Diamonds. Floogull requires a total of 1,000Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Floogull's inventory with 1 Wildcards per egg. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute or Relics per month (28 days) and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's level also increases this limit.

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Floogull eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare and Epic Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Floogull eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]

  • Floogull's name is derived from flugelhorn, a type of instrument, and gull, a type of bird, based on its bird-like appearance. However, Floogull also seems to take heavy design inspiration from types of mosquitos and other insectoids.
    • Despite being named after a gull, Floogull resembles closer to a Kererū, with a white abdomen and a green plumage.
  • Floogull's design and sound may be a reference to the American musical group Earth, Wind, & Fire, who often feature horn sections in their music. This could be referencing to its element combination, Earth, Air, & Fire.
  • There was a glitch where if you mute all Monsters except for Floogull on Amber Island, it would sound completely loud and bass boosted.
  • Floogull was the only Triple-Element Fire Monster to not be required for activating a vessel on Amber Island when Amber Island was first released.
  • Floogull's beak is improperly aligned during its idle animation and playing animation on Fire Haven, however this is not the case for its playing animation on Amber Island, where it is aligned properly.
  • Floogull and Ziggurab are the first Triple-Element monsters to be released on Amber Island .
