The Season of Love is a Core Seasonal Event celebrated on Air Island, and is an element manifested by Schmoochle. It is the Monster World equivalent of Valentine's Day, and is celebrated from the end of January to late February. It is also celebrated during a short-term Out of Season Event in mid-August, and in a Time of the Season promotion during Anniversary Month.
During the Season of Love, the following are available: Schmoochle (and its Rare and Epic variants), Season of Love themed Costumes, Love-themed Decorations, Love-themed Obstacles, and the Seasonal Island Skin. There are also special sales and promotions, and sometimes new content is released.

Since 2013, Air Island has changed its appearance for the Season of Love celebration, which also changes the Obstacles. Since 2023, it is a purchasable Island Skin with helpful boosts. It is available for 
1,250 or $5 USD, but a trial is also available for free for the duration of the event.

History[]
Below details the history of past Seasons of Love. From 2013 to 2015, the Season of Love was simply known as the Valentine's Day event.
Valentine’s Day 2013[]
The first Valentine's Day event started on Tuesday, February 5th and ended on Friday, February 15th (11 days). It introduced the Seasonal Monster, Schmoochle.
Valentine’s Day 2014[]
The Valentine's Day event started on Wednesday, January 29th and ended on Wednesday, February 26th (29 days). During the event, Humbug and Kazilleon were released.
Valentine’s Day 2015[]
The Valentine's Day event started on Thursday, January 29th and ended on Thursday, February 19th (22 days.) During the event, Rare Dandidoo and Rare Oaktopus were released.
Season of Love 2016[]
The Season of Love started on Saturday, January 30th and ended on Tuesday, February 16th (18 days). During the event, a new update was released for Dawn of Fire, adding the Crystal Castle upgrade, the Diamond Extractor, Yelmut, Dandidoo, and Daily Goals.
Season of Love 2017[]
The Season of Love started on Friday, February 3rd and ended on Monday, February 20th (18 days). It started with the reveal of Rare Schmoochle, with Rare Jellbilly and Astropod also releasing later in the event.
Season of Love 2018[]
The Season of Love started on Wednesday, January 31st and ended on Tuesday, February 20th (21 days). During the event, Maggpi was released on Cold Island.
Season of Love 2019[]
The Season of Love started on Wednesday, January 30th and ended on Tuesday, February 19th. (21 days). The event started with the release of animated Season of Love decorations, and the release of Parlsona on Air Island. Later in the event, Epic Schmoochle and Stoowarb were released on Air Island, and Epic Fwog was released.
Season of Love 2020[]
The Season of Love started on Wednesday, January 29th and ended on Tuesday, February 18th. (21 days). During the event, the Gigacheep Nest island skin was released. This event was also the start of the Burds of a Further promotion, which has appeared in every Season of Love since, except 2024. Later in the event, the Dipsters were released on Fire Oasis, and Rare Boskus and Epic Drumpler were both released.
Season of Love 2021[]
The Season of Love started on Wednesday, January 27th and ended on Tuesday, February 16th. (21 days). During the event, the 3.0.4 event was released, which introduced the StarShop on Shugabush and Ethereal Islands, changed the secondary currencies to be hidden by a togglable button on the main screen by default, added the ability to purchase Costumes on other islands, and added the first Epic Ethereal, Epic Ghazt, and it also added the ability. The Seasonal Quest, All's Fair in Love and Song, was also added to The Colossingum for a limited time during this event.
Season of Love 2022[]
The Season of Love started on Wednesday, January 26th and ended on Wednesday, February 16th. (22 days). This event introduced 16 new Season of Love themed Costumes, along with Rare and Epic Schmoochle appearing on Seasonal Shanty for the first time. It also first teased, and then introduced, Amber Island, and also included the discovery of Epic Boskus.
Season of Love 2023[]
The Season of Love started on Wednesday, February 1st and ended on Monday, February 20th. (20 days). This event introduced 9 new seasonal Costumes, along with Rare Yawstrich. The Season of Love Island Skin was also updated with a slightly new design that could also be purchased permanently. When in use, it also grants special boosts. Drummidary on Amber Island, Rare Krillby, Hyehehe, Wheezel, and Epic Humbug were also released during the event.
Season of Love 2024[]
The Season of Love started on Wednesday, February 7th, and ended on Monday, February 26th. This event introduced 5 new Costumes (for Pango, Scups, Bisonorus, Sox, and Epic Scups) and Epic Carillong during the middle of Crescendo Moon. This event also replaced the Burds of the Further promotion with the Long Distance promotion. Later during the event, Epic Woolabee, Epic Sox, and Rare Boo'qwurm released, along with Ethereal Workshop Wave 3, introducing Piplash and Vhenshun. Rare Screemu, which released shortly after the event ended, is partially themed around the Season of Love.
Promotions[]
Burds of a Further[]
Burds of a Further is a promotion that started in Season of Love 2020 and has been available for every Season of Love except 2024, which was replaced by the "Long Distance" promotion. Every 24 hours, a pair of two Monsters, a Rare and an Epic from Air Island, are available to buy or breed. Each pair of Monsters has something in common for the community to figure out. In Season of Love 2023, Hoola became available for one day instead of an Epic Monster, due to Rare Yawstrich releasing during the event.
Long Distance[]
Long Distance is a promotion that started in Season of Love 2024. Every 24 hours, a pair of two Monsters, a Natural Rare on Air Island and its Fire Rare pen pal, are available to buy or breed. Just like the "Burds of a Further" promotion, each pair of Monsters has something in common for the community to figure out. This promotion gave players a chance to get the Fire Element Rare Flex Eggs for Adult Furnoss.
Airhead[]
Starting in 2020, Mirror Air Island gets discounted by 50% one week before Season of Love starts. Since 2022, the promotional image will also include a teaser for an upcoming costume during the event, such as Rose-Colored Glasses, Smitten Stritch, or Dongle the Thing.
Get Into Gear[]
This promotion was started in Season of Love 2021 and has happened every year since then. During this promotion, all Mech Element Rarethereals become available to buy or breed.
Love is in the Air[]
This promotion happens at the end of Season of Love, usually after Burds of a Further has finished. During this promotion, all Air Island Rares and Epics (except for Hoola) become available to buy or breed. In Season of Love 2020, this promotion was called Love Conquers All, but it was changed back to Love is in the Air in 2021.
Warm Hearts[]
This promotion happened in Season of Love 2024. During this promotion, all Fire Rares became available to buy or breed. This promotion gave players a chance to get the Fire Element Rare Flex Eggs for Adult Furnoss. This promotion was also used during Feast-Ember 2020.
Walking on Air[]
During this promotion, Air Island Werdos are discounted by 50%.

- The Season of Love is the first Seasonal Event to have more than one Epic Ethereal release during its event (Epic Ghazt in 2021, Epic Humbug in 2023, and Epic Sox in 2024).
- Depending on the date Lunar New Year is celebrated in the Human World, Crescendo Moon and the Season of Love can overlap with one another. So far, this has only happened in 2024
- The Season of Love can also be pushed back because of this, as 2024 was the latest that the Season of Love has ever started.
- Yearly, on St. Valentine's Day (February 14), players will be awarded with Diamonds. The amount of Diamonds varies from year to year.
