- This article is about the Islands of My Singing Monsters. For the Islands of My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire, see Islands (Dawn of Fire).
Islands are the places in the Monster World which certain kinds of Monsters are located, live, and sing depending on what elements they have. There is currently a total of twenty-five Islands (twenty-nine if you include the Mirror Islands): six of which are unique and eighteen (or twenty-two if you include the Mirror Islands) that are almost identical copies of other Islands. Each Island has a unique song that is produced by the Monsters who live there and work together. Most Islands are covered with Obstacles, or trees and rocks, that need to be cleared in order to make more space. These trees and rocks will cost Coins () to be removed and Diamonds () to be added back to the Island. As a special note, if the camera is zoomed all the way out from an Island, a face can be seen on the front of it, which is the face of the Island's Colossal, Titan, or otherwise entity-less face.
The player first begins on Plant Island, as it is the only Island unlocked at the start. To navigate between the other Islands, the Map () is used, which is unlocked before Cold Island is bought. Buying Cold Island also frees the restriction on Gold Island, Ethereal Island, and opens up Air Island for purchase. When Air Island is purchased, Shugabush Island becomes available, and Water Island is made purchasable. Water Island then allows for purchase of Earth Island, which allows for the purchase of Fire Haven. All Natural Islands, that is, those that manifest the elements of Plant (), Cold (), Air (), Water (), and Earth (), must be purchased in order after the player begins on Plant Island. The player must be at least Level 4 in order to purchase them. The Level 4 requirement also extends to the unlocking Gold Island, Ethereal Island, and Shugabush Island.
The Colossingum is unlocked for free at level 10 after the player's first breed. Fire Oasis, and the 5 Magical Islands can be bought at Level 9 after the purchase of Fire Haven. Amber Island is unlocked for free once Fire Oasis is purchased. Tribal Island and Wublin Island are unlocked for free at Level 10 and Level 13 respectively, Ethereal Workshop is unlocked at Level 19, while the Mirror Islands become available for purchase at Level 20. Composer Island is unlocked for free at Level 7, and Celestial Island is unlocked for free at Level 15.
My Singing Monsters is published in multiple languages. A table of translations can be found at Island Translations.

Mirror Islands[]
- Main article: Mirror Islands
- Mirror Plant Island
- Mirror Plant Island holds a mysterious green landscape and has Ghazt's plasmic orbs scattered across it. It has the same Monsters and Elements as Plant Island and all of the same events, but it isn't decorated when Seasonal Events occur. It contains what remains of the Teleporter structure, and a Mammott Scarecrow from the Garden Patch structure from the prequel game Dawn of Fire.
- Mirror Cold Island
- Mirror Cold Island has a wintry landscape with a dark purple night sky and several darker tones of Grumpyre’s grey and black smog along the furry edges. It has the same Monsters and Elements as Cold Island and all of the same events, but it isn't decorated when Seasonal Events occur. On the island, there is what remains of the Wondermine structure from the prequel game Dawn of Fire.
- Mirror Air Island
- Mirror Air Island has a foggy pinkish atmosphere with Ethereal-like "brain parts" representing Reebro, the base monster for the Element of Mech. Its goggles are also made out of Skylite, a crystal found on the Air Lands in Dawn of Fire. It has the same Monsters and Elements as Air Island and all of the same events, but it isn't decorated when Seasonal Events occur. The island contains remains of the Skyship structure, a central structure for experienced players from the prequel game, Dawn of Fire.
- Mirror Water Island
- Mirror Water Island has a darker atmosphere reminiscent of the twilight zone of the ocean, and is a lot less vibrant when compared to Water Island. This island also has crystals scattered throughout, which represent Jeeode’s Ethereal element of the island: Crystal. It has the same Monsters and Elements as Water Island and all of the same events, but it isn't decorated when Seasonal Events occur. The Island's Colossal seems to be wearing swimming goggles. The Island contains remains of a Wishing Well concept from the prequel game, Dawn of Fire.
- Mirror Earth Island
- Mirror Earth Island has lava poking out at certain points and a poisonous green and red sky. It has the same Monsters and elements as Earth Island and all of the same events, but it isn't decorated when Seasonal Events occur. It has purple rubber-like substances all over it that likely is related to the Ethereals, considering their appearances across the other Mirror Islands. Its atmosphere looks very smoky and toxic, likely a nod to Humbug’s element: Poison. It also contains the Deconstructor, an unused Dawn of Fire structure.

Notes[]
- Gold Island can only house duplicates of Monsters which have achieved Level 15 on the Natural Islands, which are then placed on Gold Island.
- The completed songs of most islands may be bought in the Market, as part of the soundtrack.
- Almost every island has a face-like area in its front part. This is because the game's lore treats them as huge ancient Monsters known as Island Giants that saved the Continent's Lands when it split up. These are either called "Colossals" or “Titans”.
- Every Natural Island is missing one of the five Natural elements (not including the lost element Fire). This means that a Monster cannot exist on an island which is missing any of the Monster's elements.
- The Dipsters are currently the only monsters that appear on the most amount of islands in the game, that being thirteen (Plant, Cold, Air, Water, Earth, Haven, Oasis, Light, Psychic, Faerie, Bone, Ethereal, and Magical).
- In second place are Mammott and Potbelly, on ten different islands each (Plant, Cold, Air/Water, Earth, Haven/Oasis, Light, Psychic/Faerie, Shugabush, Tribal, and Gold).
- In third place are Noggin and Toe Jammer, on nine different islands each (Plant, Cold, Air, Water/Earth, Haven/Oasis, Psychic/Faerie, Bone, Tribal, and Gold). The Common Wubbox is also found on 9 Islands (Plant, Cold, Air, Water, Earth, Haven, Ethereal, Wublin, and Gold).
- In fourth place are Tweedle & Kayna, both of them being on eight different islands.
- Finally, Rare Wubbox, Quibble, Oaktopus, and Furcorn each are indigenous to seven different islands.
- Some Monsters need to be Teleported to, or placed on, certain Islands in order to live there:
- Certain Natural Monsters and Shugabush, a member of the Shugafam sub-class, can be Teleported to Shugabush Island once they reach Level 15.
- All Single-Element Ethereal Monsters can be teleported to Ethereal Island once they reach Level 15.
- All Single-Element Magical Monsters can be teleported to Magical Sanctum once they reach Level 15.
- All Natural Monsters, all five Core Seasonals, Wubbox, Rare Wubbox, any Epic Wubbox, Jam Boree, and Shugabush can all be placed on Gold Island once they reach Level 15.
- All 30 Natural Monsters, the five Core Seasonals, and the Single and Double-Element Ethereals can be teleported to The Colossingum once they reach Level 5.
- All Single-Element Mythical Monsters can be Teleported to Mythical Island once they reach Level 15.
- Most Seasonal Monsters can be teleported to Seasonal Shanty (if not on a zapping island) once they reach Level 15.
- The map and all Islands except for the Zapping Islands (Wublin, Celestial, and Amber Islands), the Fire Islands (Fire Haven and Fire Oasis), the Magical Islands (Light, Psychic, Faerie, Bone, and Magical Sanctum), Ethereal Workshop, Mythical Island, Composer Island, and the Mirror Islands are unlocked at Level 6.
- At the end of the Mythical Island trailer, a sketch of a currently unreleased island is shown, which resembles an early piece of Concept Art for Plant Island.
- The main Magical Islands are meant to represent the four Outer Islands in Dawn of Fire, with Light Island at Party Island, Psychic Island at Space Island, Faerie Island at Cloud Island, and Bone Island at Cave Island.
- Further evidence is the way that they are ordered, as they are ordered in the main menu in the same placements as the Outer Islands.
- A possible reason why some monsters aren't found on other islands is because those monsters can't adapt to a certain island's climate due to their elements.
- Most islands have a small creature that makes a silent, short appearance on various spots on the island. These spots are usually parts of the Colossal, such as its ears. These small creatures can also appear in the cracks and crevices of an island. These are called Critters.
- Unlike in Dawn of Fire, all islands are made in 2D.
