The More The Merrier[]

The More The Merrier is a reocurring promotion during the end of Festival of Yay. During this promotion, all Rares and Epics become available to breed. Usually, this promotion does not include Seasonal Monsters, but in 2022, it included Seasonals as well. The promotion also tends to tease upcoming monsters for the next year through its promotional images. The More The Merrier is similar to the Grand Finale promotion during the Anniversary Month.

Song in Your Heart[]

This promotion was started in Festival of Yay 2023. During this promotion, all Seasonals and Fire Expansion Monsters become available. This promotion happens during The More The Merrier, but it is much shorter. Like in The More The Merrier promotions, the promotional image also tends to include a teaser for an upcoming Monster that will be releasing after the promotion.

Amber Reprise[]

During a portion of Festival of Yay, all Amber Island Vessels become available.

The Big Chill[]

Starting in 2019, Mirror Cold Island gets discounted by 50% one week before Festival of Yay starts. If there are no new costumes that will be added in the event, the promotional image will show a returning one instead.

Darkest Hour[]

This promotion was started in Festival of Yay 2021 and has happened every year since then. It usually occurs around the start of the event. During this promotion, all Shadow Element Rarethereals become available to buy or breed. In 2024, all Epic Ethereals with the Shadow Element became available as well.

Festival of Yay Themed Parodies[]

Notes[]

  • The Festival of Yay is the last Seasonal Event of the Human World year.
  • The Small Yay Tree is likely a reference to "A Charlie Brown Christmas", as it is bending under the weight of a single red ornament.
  • The Singing Monsters know Christmas as "The Festival of Yay" and Christmas Day as "Yay Day". Instead of saying "Merry Christmas", Monsters will say "Yippee Yay".
What is festofyay

Official description as said by the Monster-Handlers about "The Festival of Yay"

  • As shown by this Facebook comment, My Singing Monsters changed the Christmas/Holiday event to the Festival of Yay just by changing the name without a single explanation.
  • The "Festival of Yay" is officially explained by the Monster-Handlers. It is "celebrated on Cold Island during the winter season," and is a "month of friendship and fun". It has also been said that the Monsters on Cold Island "always keep their eyes peeled for a visit from Yool" since they "love the Festival spirit".
  • The Seasonal event's respective Core Seasonal Monsters: Yool, Rare Yool, and Epic Yool, are referred to as the Ho-Ho-Ho Trio.
  • Yearly, on Christmas Day (December 25), players will be awarded with Diamonds. The amount of Diamonds varies from year to year.
