My Singing Monsters Wiki

The following is an excerpt retrieved from the Monster development journals of an unidentified Colossal, chronicling some of their earliest recorded efforts in the pocket dimension:

"Acts of 'Fandhul'-ism (what we're calling work on the Core Cold Elemental) have been put on ice (couldn't resist). The team agrees that the final design is within reach - attributes like a furry body and oversized hands/feet are popular - but we've reached an impasse when it comes to stabilizing those very hands. Mammoth mitts are needed for optimal snowball fight prowess, but their heftiness necessitates outfitting the Monster's arms with robotic sleeves. "Z" has no objection (they love all that), but it doesn't match the greater vision. Although "Z" still insists that a hexapedal body plan for a Cold Elemental would be, and I quote, "Epic," proposed direction is to simplify greatly and pare back the number of limbs."

Seemingly added much later, another Colossal's notes have been scribbled in the margin:

"Perusing the initial notes, the expression 'within reach' was the inspiration for Fandhul's reimagined form. Why struggle with reinforcing arms to support hands when you can rework the hands entirely? Replicating the Colossal ability to project parts of consciousness into hand form, the updated Fandhul eschews arms entirely and simply crafts cryokinetic extensions of itself that can clap and rub to make its music! When the Cold Primordial needs to bulk up its snowy paws, it need only emit frozen breath. The Fandhul's innate craftiness has only been augmented now that it has no fingerprints, but fortunately, it seems less fixated on underhanded deeds and more on… fantasy sports?"

Monster Bio

Description[]

Fandhul is a Primordial Monster of the Cold Element (Primordial Cold Element) and is exclusive to Shadow Islet. It was added alongside bbli$zard, eRmA gUrDy, Epic Gheegur, Epic Rooba, and Epic Cranchee on December 10th, 2025, during version 5.2.0. As a Primordial Monster, it is obtained by Dish-Harmonizing after obtaining all other Monsters on Shadow Islet. Its incubation time is 2 days and 2 hours long. Being an elusive Primordial Monster, Fandhul has an excellent Shard production on Shadow Islet. However, only one Fandhul can be placed. The Goal for placing your first Fandhul rewards the player with 10 Diamonds (Diamonds).

Being a Primordial Monster, Fandhul functions like a Unity Tree, with its presence allowing for Common Monsters to be placed anywhere on the Island without affecting the Happiness of other Common Monsters.

Song[]

Audio Sample:

Instrument: Hand clapping, rubbing + Wind effects

Fandhul's song consits of hands clapping and rubbing. It also has an effect layered to it, described as wind and breathing, alongside other unknown effects.

VSTs[]

Main article: VSTs

Virtual Studio Technology (VST) is a plugin format that allows audio software to integrate with digital audio workstations (DAWs). VST plugins come in two main forms: instruments (VSTi), which generate sounds, such as synthesizers and sample libraries, and effects, which process audio, through tools like reverb or distortion. Individual sounds within these plugins may be referred to as patches, presets, samples, or articulations, depending on the plugin. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VST plugins to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters. Note that many pages incorrectly label patches as "SoundFonts", an unrelated audio format.

The samples used for Fandhul have not yet been found, but they might be foley sounds recorded in-house.

Obtaining[]

Fandhul becomes available once all of the Ethereal Monsters on Shadow Islet have been collected, and by having at least 3 of each Elemental Meeb. When a Monster is Dish-Harmonized and results in a Pentumbra, there is a chance for this Pentumbra to be "upgraded" into a Fandhul.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Fandhul:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: Since Fandhul acts as a Unity Tree, Monsters never need to be placed near it to increase its happiness.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Fandhul or when Fandhul and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Fandhul's likes as well:

Notes[]

  • Fandhul's name is an anagram of "handful" in ode to its first depiction as a statue in-game: the Handfuls of Diamonds Currency pack.
  • Fandhul's Bio, like the other Primordial Monsters, involves first person writing, being notes written by two Colossals, the second likely being Zarroë. The Colossal that wrote the first note could be Frigil.
  • In Dawn of Fire, Fandhul can be seen in the "Handful of Diamonds" Market item, as a Bubblerite statue holding four piles of Diamonds in its hands, while in My Singing Monsters, the Life-Formula Island Skin features its statue as part of the background. In early versions of Dawn of Fire, the pack used to be called "Sack of Diamonds."
  • All of Fandhul's likes are Monsters with the Mech Element, the element that is missing from the Shadow Quad, Pentumbra.
  • Fandhul's eye was first teased in a Dawn of Fire Cyber Week promotion, featuring its currency pack.
  • The "Z" mentioned in the description may likely be the Air Island Colossal Zeffree, as they have also been stated to have a love for cybernetics. Furthermore, The Air element's Ethereal counterpart is the Mech Element.
    • Zarroë (the Ethereal Island Colossal) is also a possible candidate, as they actually are the Ethereal Colossal and as such oversees the Ethereals and their elements.
  • "Z"'s remark about a six-limbed Cold Elemental Monster being "Epic" most likely refers to the Epic Mammott, which has six limbs.
    • Supporting this claim is how Epic Mammott's extra arms make it the ultimate snow shoveling machine, mirroring how Fandhul's extra arms are intended for snowball fighting prowess.
  • The unknown colossal's remark about fantasy sports pokes fun at how Fandhul's name has a strong resemblance to the sports betting app known as "FanDuel".
  • Fandhul has three eyes. During some of its tracks, it opens a smaller pair of eyes placed slightly below the large one.
  • Fandhul is the first (and currently only) Primordial that isn't required to unlock the full length of its song, as Yooreek unlocks the same part.
