Epic Riff's ability to shred on its symbiotic instrument is so impressive, its instrument needs two necks! But wait - is this instrument even alive? Of course it is! The eyeless, noseless, mouthless, and otherwise faceless instrument may have sacrificed its expressive visage for an extra neck, but it is still capable of communicating with its winged pal via forceful strums and playful twangs.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Epic Riff is a Quad-Element Epic Monster found on Air Island. It was added on October 23rd, 2019 during Version 2.3.2. As an Epic Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding PomPom and Quibble. By default, its breeding time is 1 day and 15 hours long. Epic Riff has a great Coin production, and is only beaten by Monsters with higher Coin production like Epic Reebro, Werdos, Rare Wubbox, and Epic Hoola, depending on your Coin collecting schedule. Also note, that unlike their Common and Rare variants, Epic Monsters cannot breed.

Breeding[]

Epic Riff is only available for breeding (or buying) during limited time events.

Note that this breeding possibility is not guaranteed to produce an Epic Riff.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Epic Riff, like all Epic Naturals are only available for breeding and/or buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Epic Riff:

Notes[]

  • Epic Riff may be referencing the "one eyed one horned flying purple people eater", even though it has no teeth to eat and two horns.
  • The top of Epic Riff’s head can be seen at the bottom of the Spooktacle 2019 loading screen.
    • Interestingly, its head could only be seen on devices with a 4:3 ratio (such as an iPad Mini 2), as widescreen devices crop out much of the bottom of the original screen. The visibility of the bottom of the screen becomes progressively worse with current modern flagship devices that use aspect ratios such as 18:9, 19.5:9, or 21:9.[citation needed]
  • Both Monsters requires to breed Epic Riff are found on Shugabush Island, despite Riff not being available there.
