“ | There are two things that an Epic Grumpyre dislikes more than waking up early – bright lights and garlic bread. Unlike its Common and Rare counterparts, its body is not covered by a protective, soot-like shroud; so it’s both a blessing and a curse that its skin has developed accelerated regeneration, causing an endless cycle of bursting blisters and rapid healing. Another feature it lacks are horns, leaving it unsure of where it should grab life. Its main advantage, though are its well-trained ears – the Shadow Elemental can hear even the most hushed lip-smacking of any Monster enjoying Treats, and particularly loves to mutter the catchphrase 'It’s Grumpin’ time' as it enjoys a late night snack of its own. | ” |

Description[]
Epic Grumpyre is a Single-Element Epic Ethereal Monster. It was added on July 20th, 2022 during Version 3.6.0. As an Epic Monster, it is only available at select times. It is best obtained by breeding Dandidoo and Bowgart. By default, its breeding time is 1 day and 4 hours long. Epic Grumpyre has a great Coin production on Cold Island that is bested by very few Monsters. It has a Coin rate between comparable to Epic Deedge.
Epic Grumpyre can either be teleported to Ethereal Island when fed to level 15, or bred with Nebulob and Fung Pray. Its breeding time is 7 hours, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds long. Like all Epic Single-Element Ethereals, Epic Grumpyre has the one of the best Shard productions on Ethereal Island, though Epic Monculus is recommended. Also note, that unlike their Common and Rare variants, Epic Monsters cannot breed.

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Epic Grumpyre:
- Ti (requires level 10)
- Innertuba (level 20)
- Razzli Tree (level 12)
- Smunkit (level 11) ()
