Dawn of Fire

The Edamimi is a saucy-sweet sprig of jingly-jangly cheer. Swaying blithely to the music, it shakes its curlicue boughs to produce an effervescent 'shikka-shikka' sound. Beaning itself on its own noddle evokes a subtler, more sustained rattle - and elicits fits of laughter from observers as its eyes rollick about in its head. Naughty sprouts risk a good shelling if they get too boisterous and are often told to 'mind your peas and cukes.'
Young Bio

Percussionists are renowned for their well-developed forearms, but the Edamimi is not your garden-variety instrumentalist. Far from brawny, its forelimbs are delicate and twig-like, performing a balletic display that can only be described as ap-'pea'-ling. Its sound is light and bright, with a metallic clarity that plays in sharp contrast to its organic nature. A precocious rascal, the Edamimi likes to contemplate the havoc that might be wrought by a single, rogue garden pea. Pet peeves include garden tools, insufficient drainage, and extended droughts.
Adult Bio

This Edamimi returned from the Prism Gate forever changed! Its formerly fresh-faced, leguminous features have been altered at the molecular level to become a scarecrowy simulacrum, sporting flashy apparel and stuffed with straw - extraordinary!

The Edamimi in a official My Singing Monsters Twitter post

  • Edamimi's name comes from the Japanese word "edamame", which is a preparation of immature soy beans in a pod that is boiled or steamed and salted. It is also commonly used in East-Asian Cuisines, though it looks similar to the Edamimi's arms and the pod on top of its head.
  • It is the first Quad-Element Monster to be teleported to Party Island.
    • It, along with Quarrister, are the only Quad-Element Monsters exclusive to Party Island.
      • Therefore, it is the only Quad-Element Fire Monster exclusive to Party Island.
  • Its song is similar to Boodoo, since they play the same instrument. It also sounds similar to Viveine, as maracas and tambourines sound similar,
  • It is the third 2x2 Quad-Element to be released. The first was Yelmut and the second was Krillby.
  • Edamimi is the first Quad-Element Monster in Dawn of Fire to release with all of its breeding combinations.
  • There was a bug where the undersides of the Prismatic Edamimis' hats were grey. This was later fixed in the 2.7.1 Update.
  • Red Prismatic Edamimi and Blue Prismatic Edamimi's hems have no pattern in-game, unlike the Fan Kit images.
  • Edamimi is currently the only Monster species to make its series debut on Party Island.
  • Here, the Adult Edamimi has five peas dangling from both arms. But for some reason, its My Singing Monsters counterpart only has four on each side (making a total of eight, rather than ten).
