Monstrum Omnium Praesidium
The Department of Monstrous Anomalies's motto, as seen on their website

The Department of Monstrous Anomalies (abbreviated as DOMA) are the main antagonists of My Singing Monsters. While not appearing in the game, DOMA has begun appearing in a series on the My Singing Monsters YouTube channel. DOMA is a government organization with similar technologies to the Monster-Handlers, but they see Singing Monsters as a threat to humanity.

Expansion Required
This section requires expansion. You can help My Singing Monsters Wiki by adding more relevant content to this section.

DOMA has a dedicated website at doma.company (hosted on doma.outerorbital.com, the personal website of one of the Monster-Handlers), which was first found on March 9th, 2025, although it was registered on February 16 of that year[1]. The website has four sections: Home, which links to pages for each file, Reports, which has currently 9 classified report files, Info, which leads to DOMA's LinkedIn page, and Contact, which simply displays the text "Don't." in the corner with no other content.

Audio Files[]

Four reports contained a short audio file within the HTML class "ouroboros." Each file had a unique name:

These most likely refer to the four music dramas of Wagner's The Ring of the Nibelung. It is currently unknown what this may allude to.

The sound for the first three is that of a very slowed down old alarm clock with bells.

The sound for the fourth, Rhinegold, starts with a 'modern' alarm clock's trilling alarm sound, and a voice stating "Rise and shine, agent. Rise and shine." This appears to be a reference to the game Half-Life 2, which opens with the so-called "G-Man" talking to the protagonist Gordon Freeman, stating "Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Rise and shine."

On March 30th, 2025 most of these reports were removed, with only the one titled 'Days' remaining. The sound file it embedded was changed:

If the sound file is viewed as a spectrogram, the text "protocols successfully breached. channel infiltration operations to commence 01/██/██ ██:██ UTC." becomes readily visible. This was a teaser towards the DOMA takeover event that would occur 2 days later

LinkedIn[]

DOMA additionally has a LinkedIn page, found here. The page says that DOMA has 5,001 to 10,000 employees and was founded in 1908.

To ensure the safety and peace of our world, and protect against all forms of monstrous anomalies. To catalogue and contain objects of monstrous interest, and investigate monstrous conundra, coincidental paradoxes and enigma. Stemming the tide of incursions from extra-celestial bodies, parallel universes, and adjacent realities.
DOMA's LinkedIn Overview

"Our modern Analyst floors are equipped with state of the art observation, cataloging, and containment facilities. If single minded rigor for science, a megalomaniac zeal for stasis, and unflinching indifference to monstrous anomalies describe you, apply to be a DOMA Agent today!"

DOMA LinkedIn post 1 image

"The Department stands ready for the challenges of the 21st century, be they terrestrial, extra-dimensional, or etheric in nature. Welcoming the next generation of Agents to our newly updated campus with a measured degree of excitement."

DOMA LinkedIn post 3 image

"Our sub-nucleonic cartographers do their science by hand, gathering and analyzing bosonic telemetry, and calculating vector potentials utilizing the most modern slide rules, calibrated with the most exacting tolerances."

DOMA LinkedIn post 4 image

"Team building and team synergy is essential for friction-less Agent cohesion. Agent B████ brings their hobby to the Department, leading cake decorating classes for all Observer level staff. This exercise is as fun as it is instructional, as B████ demonstrates how an Agent can distinguish between a normal, mundane cake, and an anomalous non-dietary construct assuming the form of a delectable treat."

"As the seasons change, and spring returns to the northern hemisphere, Agents will be out in force setting up field testing sites for mandatory cortical ultra-sonic scans. With improving weather an uptick in whistling while working, a song in ones step, and other seemingly innocuous melodic activities become more prevalent. Trained Apophenologists however are ready to uncover the truth."

DOMA LinkedIn post 6 image

"The Department of Monstrous Anomalies complies with all ATIA, FOIPP, FOIA, and GOYA requests on any and all declassified, non-compartmentalized reports. Most requested among the most recent disclosures; a hand print, lifted from a series of delivery orders, notably:

  • A delivery of pot stickers
  • A delivery of chocolates (box empty)
  • A delivery of pancakes (green)

The conspicuous 3 finger configuration remains unexplained, as does the identity of the delivery person beyond their profile name 'Z'. Files note a 5 star rating with an excellent record of timely service."

"Workplace health and safety is paramount at The Department. All canteen microwave ovens are subjected to weekly resonance chamber test circuits. Adventurous Agents, specializing in geology maintain their propensity to lick sample material, and have been known to utilize Agency equipment to re-heat Toroidal samples to 'improve' the palette. Regular decontamination of canteen material is essential to not only safeguard the sterility of The Department, but to discourage such 'tastings.'"

Notes[]

  • The last name of the doctor mentioned in the last tweet has seven letters, very much like "Spurrit". Fans theorize that this is Dr. Warden E Spurrit's relative, who is also a doctor.
  • Monster-Handler Jenn has described D.O.M.A as being an "external nefarious organization" in the July 2024 Handler Hangout. [7]
    • Oddly, on March 31st, 2025, months after this comment, Monster-Handler Jenn mentioned not knowing what D.O.M.A. was.
  • Monster-Handler Matt has mentioned not liking D.O.M.A and that they're always messing with the handlers stuff and "stepping in their heels". Confirmed in 12th Anniversary edition of MSM Live.
  • D.O.M.A is likely based on the SCP Foundation, another fictional organization that also studies anomalous objects, entities, and phenomena.
  • Department of Monstrous Anomalies: "Fugue Tome" teased Rare Cataliszt and Epic Boo'qwurm (which were previously teased in the Fyre Oasys Festyval).
  • D.O.M.A refers to Nebulob as "MA904", which is a reference to its release date, as well as to Boo'qwurm's book, being named "MA817", as a reference to Boo'qwurm's release date.
    • D.O.M.A referred to Nebulob's body armor as "MA0904.1"
  • They used to be called the Department of Monster Anomalies.
