My Singing Monsters

Much more than mere gizmos, Cybops are deep thinkers, and vibrantly alive. Occasionally, Cybops need reminders that attempting to scavenge the body parts of other Monsters for personal repair is not socially acceptable.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Cybop is a Double-Element Monster that is first unlocked on Air Island. It was added alongside PomPom, Scups, and Riff on September 12th, 2012 during Version 1.0.2. It is best obtained by breeding Tweedle and Noggin. By default, its breeding time is 8 hours long. As a Double-Elemental, Cybop does not have a high Coin production. The Goal for placing your first Cybop rewards the player with 50,000 Coins. Additionally, placing a Cybop on Gold Island for the first time rewards the player with 1,000,000 Coins.

Song[]

Audio samples:

More robotic (Memory Game; Air Island):

Less robotic (Water Island):

Voice actor: Dave Kerr

Cybop's contribution to the songs of some Islands is a robotic vocalization, as if a talkbox is in use. Otherwise, it sounds like slap tongue, a jazz vocal technique.

On Air Island, it sings, "Hooga, Booga booga, yaza pap pap, Nyouza pap pap, Nyouza<!"

On Water Island, it sings," A-shoom-bop-a-doom-bop-ma-doom-dow! A-shoom-ba-da-boom" in a lower pitched voice.

On Earth Island, it sings, "Day daht doo-daht doo-daht, Day Day Day, daht doo-daht doo-daht Dow!"

On Fire Haven, it sings, "Eighn daht do da, Eighn daht day! Heighn daht do da, Heighn daht do da da day!"

On Tribal Island, it sings, "Jum bum ba dilly bum bum billy lum bum ba dilly dum bum, billy um bum ba diddle dum buga lily Ay.”

On Gold Island, it sings, "Dab dabbaw dab dab a doom-dow. Dab dabbaw dab dab a doom."

In the Memory Game, it says, "Nyouza," which is a snippet of its Air Island verse.

Breeding[]

Cybop can be produced by breeding Monsters with the elements of Air and Earth.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Cybop:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Cybop or when Cybop and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Cybop's likes as well:

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters[]

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Cybop eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Cybop eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Kayna's Vessel has no time limit, and its egg inventory cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]

  • Cybop's name is rooted in "cyber", i.e. electronic- or computer-related, and "prop", an abbreviation for propeller. It may also be rooted in "Cyclops", a one eyed monster, and "bop", an onomatopoeia used by beatboxing and humming. Another possible root is from “cyborg”, someone who is half-man half-robot, and “bop”.
  • Cybop is the only Natural airborne Monster to sleep (i.e. be muted) in mid-air.
  • Cybop's body is kind of shaped like a shrimp, hence the fact that one of the possible names for a hatched Cybop is Shrimpy.
  • Cybop used to be the only Natural Monster whose eggs weren't used to power up a Wublin, until the release of Gheegur. Coincidentally, Gheegur only requires Monsters with Cybop's elements.
  • Unlike on Air and Gold Islands, Cybop's song is not as distorted on Water Island, as it sings "A shoom bop a doom bop ma doom dow!". On Earth Island, it sings "Day daht doo-daht doo-daht, Day Day Day, daht doo-daht doo-daht Dow!", and on Tribal Island, it sings in harmony with Quarrister, "Jum bum ba diddle um bum biddle um bum ba diddle dum bum diddle dum bum ba diddle dum bum diddle ay!"
  • Cybop's eye color and lower jaw greatly resemble that of Noggin, which it shares an element with.
  • It's impossible to tell what Cybop's propeller blades are shaped like, due to them always being motion-blurred.
  • Although Cybop looks like a fish, it doesn't actually have the Water Element.
  • Cybop appeared in My Mammott.
  • Each Cybop variant has a different way of flying, with the normal Cybop using a propeller, the Rare one using jets, and the Epic one using a zipline.
  • Cybop is the only Double-Element Natural Monster with the Air Element who has a non-bird-like appearance.
  • Cybop is the only common Natural Monster with only one eye.
  • Cybop is the only Double-Element Natural Monster to not be present on the game's release.
  • Jellbilly's bio says that Cybops think of Jellbilly as a legend, and are big fans of it.
    • It is also worth nothing that Jellbilly and Cybop have only one eye, and they both float in the air.
