The distinction between 'flower' and Monster is blurred ever further in the physiology of this Titansoul - it's as if they have been fused into one entity with little sense of where one ends the other begins. It's unmistakably connected to the soul of the Psychic Titan, though - writhing tentacles reconstituted as roots and claws alike, brain matter coursing with synaptic action, and critter-like eyes it manipulates like juggling balls! One gets the ominous sense during its performance 'conducting' the Island's music that it is straining to pull itself out of the ground and float upwards into the endless Beyond. Perhaps its musical manipulation of the larger eyes, tentacle electrocutions and streaking meteor showers represent its attempts to destabilize the island and dislodge itself from the ground. Alas, Cruv'laapht is far too clever for that. Description[]

Cruv'laaphtian Crocus is a Titansoul that is found on Psychic Island. It was added alongside Epic Cherubble, Rare Mimic, Rare Tapricorn, and Rare shLep on May 14th, 2025 during version 4.8.2. As a Titansoul, it is obtained by purchasing it in the Market for 10,000,000 Coins () as an inactive flower, which then can be activated by linking Monsters to it via Soul'er Power. By default, its incubation time is 12 hours long. As a Titansoul, its currency generation is dependent on the amount of Monsters that are linked to it. The Goal for placing a Cruv'laaphtian Crocus rewards the player with 2,000 Shards () and the Goal for linking a Monster to a Cruv'laaphtian Crocus rewards the player with 1,000 Shards ().

The Cruv'laaphtian Crocus has a complex collection of musical parts in the Island's song broken down in four stages.

Stage 1 has the Crocus slamming its claws together, making sounds with effects applied right before making a striking percussion noise akin to that a bass drum.
Stage 2 has it charging up the Cruv'laapht's tentacles, making a similar sound to strumming an electric guitar.
Stage 3 has it playing around with its eyes, making a popping sound of mud bubbles and such.
Stage 4 has it playing all the sounds from the previous stages at once.

Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Reason: Filling in 4 Monsters of each rarity does not guarantee a new track

To fully activate the Cruv'laaphtian Crocus Titansoul, you will need to Link four unique Monsters of each rarity to the Titansoul. For every four Monsters of each rarity you successfully fill (e.g. four Common Monsters), it will unlock the next group (so if you fill out all four common Monsters, it unlocks the ability to link Rare Monsters). Linking four Monsters of a rarity does not guarantee a new track because their currency production may not match the Titansoul's Soul'er Power needs. If you have linked all 12 Monsters and are still missing a track or two, you should feed your monsters and increase their happiness, or just link monsters with a higher currency production. Once all 12 required Monsters have been Linked to the Titansoul, you will be able to fully activate the Titansoul, also activating the Psychic Island Titan, Cruv'laapht.

Currency Distribution[]

The Cruv'laaphtian Crocus has a unique way of distributing currencies; the Goal to collect all Titansoul Reward types on Psychic Island insinuates that there are 6 different reward types (it is currently unknown exactly how many different currencies it'll produce). Instead of the monster producing currencies on its own, whatever monsters you link to the Cruv'laaphtian Crocus will produce other currencies. The difficulty of the Monster linked will impact the type of currency and the amount of it.

Soul'er Power[]

When you fill the inventory of the Cruv'laaphtian Crocus you must link Monsters to it. You will only be able to link one Monster a day for free, with any extra linkings costing Coins (first 10,000 then 100,000 Coins ()) and then Diamonds (starting at 5 Diamonds and increasing by 5 Diamonds after every purchase); the cost will reset at 3:00pm UTC. The cost to unlink is the same. Once linked to the Cruv'laaphtian Crocus, a Monster will contribute a certain amount of Soul'er Power. The amount contributed is dependent on the Monster's Coin production, with higher production rate giving more Soul'er Power. There are four nodes seen inside the Titansoul menu, These are filled by getting a certain amount of Soul'er Power, with each one being filled unlocking a new sound to be produced by the Cruv'laaphtian Crocus. Once all four nodes have been filled, you are able to wake up the Titan in the same manner as the Colossal Conundra.

Note that Dipsters cannot be linked to the Cruv'laaphtian Crocus.

Strategy[]

Filling up a Titansoul's Soul'er Power is directly related to the Currency rate of the Monsters linked to it, The Soul'er Power progress is completed at 2,800 Soul'er Power. To fill the Soul'er Power progress, you need to Link Monsters that combine to a total of 2,800 Coins per minute or more as their Currency rate.

As there doesn't appear to be any advantage to Linking Monsters with more Soul'er Power than is strictly needed (the Coin reward type is far below what the Monsters would produce on their own, and the Shard reward type is a fraction of that of Shard income from other sources), while there is a known disadvantage due to Linked Monsters no longer generating Bonus Items, one strategy is to Link only the bare minimum required in the form of low Currency rate Monsters.

Its name comes from both an adjectivization of the Psychic Island Titan's name, Cruv'laapht, as well as the name of a flower, "crocus", with its definition being a flowering plant.
Cruv'laaphtian Crocus now holds the record for the longest name at 21 Characters (including the space), beating Phosphoran Phlox's 16 characters.
The colors of the slamming / eye aura and zaps change depending on the island / Island Skin.
- On Psychic Island, the aura made by the center slam and surrounding eyes is a bright yellow color while the lightning around the tentacles is a bright pink.
- On the MindBoggle Island Skin, The center slamming aura stays yellow but the eyes aura changes to a hot pink. The lightning on the tentacles also turns into a bright cyan.
- On Mirror Psychic Island, The Aura is a rainbow color while the lightning is a mix of light blue and yellow.
  - Unlike the previous Titansoul though, these changes persist on both sides of the island.
Both the name and the design of the Cruv'laaphtian Crocus are likely based on the works of H.P Lovecraft.
Cruv’laaphtian Crocus’ electric guitar sound was first teased 5 months before it was even released in a teaser for a trailer for Version 4.6, which released Hairionette on the same island^[1], as confirmed by Monster Handler Matt in the May 2025 Live^[2].
