“ | In the gloomy twilight of Wublin Island, the eerie gleam of the Creepuscule's plate can make it even harder to tell what time of day it is. This Monster takes full advantage of its unique physiology to showcase true percussive prowess. The nails that tip its long, finger-like limbs are actually tightly packed strands that are more like stiff hairs. The 'hair' on its head is probably a wig, but hey, right on - whatever makes a Creepuscule feel good, right? | ” |

Description[]
Creepuscule is a Supernatural Monster exclusive to Wublin Island. It was added on October 28th, 2016 during Version 2.0.0. Creepuscule is obtained by being purchased in the Market for 17,000 as an inactive statue, which can be woken up by zapping all required Monster Eggs into it. It has a decent currency production compared to other Wublins.
Song[]
Audio Samples:
Ride cymbal:
Hi-hat:
Kick Drum (Memory Game):
Instrument(s): Ride cymbal/kick drum/hi-hat cymbal
Creepuscule creates a drum/cymbal song. At the beginning of the song, with Thwok, it creates a low ride cymbal. When Whajje and Zuuker first play, it creates a hi-hat cymbal sound. After Dermit is done playing, it creates a kick-drum like noise. When Dermit starts singing and when Zuuker plays the kazoo again, Creepuscule goes back to making a hi-hat cymbal noise. When Whajje sings for the second time, it again emits a kick-drum beat.
VSTs[]
Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.
VST: HALion 6
Sound library: HS SE Pro
- Hi-hat
SoundFont: Garage Kit
- Bass Drum
SoundFont: Elektrik Kit
Breeding[]
Creepuscule cannot be bred. Like all Wublins, it is bought at the Market as an inactive statue that must be woken up.
Powering Up[]
The allotted time to fill a Creepuscule in order to activate is 7 days. If the inventory is not completed in the time the Creepuscule resets to an empty statue and all eggs inside are lost. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]
Like other Wublins, Creepuscule can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 30. Creepuscule requires a total of 1,560 for all eggs to be filled.
Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.
Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Creepuscule's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.
Income[]
- Main article: Wublins#Income
Creepuscule, like other Wublins, can produce between 39,000 and 78,000 Coins, 7,200 and 14,400 Treats, and 144 and 288 Shards. As a Monster that takes up a 3x3 grid space, Creepuscule produces 3 Diamonds. Wublins generate a random type of currency every 6 to 12 hours. This rate can be increased or decreased depending on Polarity.
Currency generation is calculated separately per Monster, so multiple Creepuscules will receive more currency, and have a higher chance overall to obtain valuable Diamonds. For maximizing income across your Wublin Island, see Wublin Island Grid Planning.
Currency Distribution[]
- Main article: Wublins#Currency Type Distribution
The currency for Creepuscule is randomly selected from the 4 currencies it can produce. The chances to get each currency are detailed below. Datapoints are the number of recorded collections; the higher number of datapoints, the more accurate the data is.
Coins | Treats | Shards | Diamonds | Datapoints |
---|---|---|---|---|
31.47% | 31.36% | 29.50% | 7.68% | 912 |
Please do not edit this table. The data is taken from the Wublins page, which is derived from a joint spreadsheet. You can share your data on its talk page. Note that only large sample sizes of data are valuable.
Polarity[]
All Wublins are affected by Polarity, a mechanic that modifies their currency rate similar to happiness for other Monsters. When a Wublin is placed near another Wublin they are positively charged towards, the time to produce currency will decrease by 25%. When placed near a Wublin they are negatively charged towards, the time to produce currency will increase by 25%. The Common variants can be used instead for Rare Wublins, but the effect will be half as strong. Rare variants can fully affect the polarity of a Common Wublin.
The following Wublins affect Creepuscule's polarity:
Negatively affects Creepuscule | Positively affects Creepuscule |
---|---|
Gheegur |
Whajje |
Creepuscule also affects the polarity of the following Wublins:
Negatively affected by Creepuscule | Positively affected by Creepuscule |
---|---|
Bona-Petite |

Strategy[]
- The following section details strategy for powering up Creepuscule, for general strategy that can apply to any Monster, see Zapping#Strategy
Creepuscule can be powered up with up to Water Island unlocked. It can be powered up faster with more Islands unlocked, with Bonus Breeding Structures, or Enhanced Breeding Structures. The following strategies require zapping Eggs twice per day, once in the morning and once at night.
Note that the tables below don't include the 12 Noggins required to power up Creepuscule. Since Noggin has a 5 second breeding time, it can simply be obtained on one Island after you zap all of the other Monsters
If you have all Islands up to Water Island, breed:

Notes[]
- Creepuscule's name seems to be derived from "Crepuscule”, which is an archaic word for "twilight", and the words "creep/creepy", which is a major theme of Wublin Island. Its name could also derive from "Corpuscle", a word that describes a small, simple body or cell in an organism. Creepuscule has a no-legged appearance, similar to a simple organism.
- This Wublin's name was found on a Facebook and Twitter puzzle. Deciphering the puzzle revealed the name "Creepuscule".
- The eggs on the puzzle are the eggs needed for Creepuscule.
- When Creepuscule was added, a verse was re-added to Wublin Island's song. This verse had existed before, in the addition of Screemu; however, it was then removed for unknown reasons when Dermit was added. The verse is the same as before, with the additions of Creepuscule and Whajje.
- As with all 'big drum Wublins', many of each egg is needed, and all eggs belong to instrumental monsters.
- However, only Creepuscule needs a pitched instrumental monster when it comes to said 'big drum Wublins', that being Quibble. However, Quibble (piano) is technically a 'pitched' percussion monster.
- Strangely enough, Creepuscule does not display an idle animation, as it plays through the entire song of Wublin Island. Its idle animation also cannot be seen in the Market, the Book of Monsters, or its own info menu. However, Creepuscule's idle animation can be seen if the player mutes and then unmutes it, but only for a short time.
- The idle animation of Creepuscule was released in the Official Guide on June 21, 2017. It consists of its fingers lifting up and down on its plate.
- It later became possible to see Creepuscule's idle animation in-game when viewing one that's in a Wubbox's Inventory or in the Recording Studio.
- There is also a glitch in which every monster stops singing after an ad. If you view Creepuscule while the glitch is happening, you can see its idle animation.
- My Singing Monsters posted its shadowed teaser on October 28, 2016.
- Oddly enough, in the shadowed teaser, Creepuscule plays both its kick-drum and hi-hat cymbal simultaneously; it does not do this in-game. The reasoning for this may be to display both sounds that Creepuscule makes.
- Creepuscule's teaser is the first to include a silhouette gif of the Monster in the background.
- On February 26th, 2017, BBB posted an animated GIF with some "more research on the Wublins", consisting of some trivia about the third set of five Wublins. The facts for Creepuscule are:
- Discreetly sources the hair for its wigs from other Wublins.
- Constantly replaces the teeth shaken loose from the plate strikes.
- Instinctively knows the time of the day.
