The amphibious Cherubble and its Blubberfly buddies are no strangers to the notion of dreams - the Monster itself is almost constantly asleep, lulled to rest by the playing of its agile accomplices. A common ancestor of other playbackyderms like Woolabee and Peckidna, this Mythical Monster originates from the vibrant and bustling coral reefs of the Monster World. The anatomical features of the Cherubble are diverse and highly-specialized: elongated cerata on its back that stretch out to form the Monster's instrument; rhinophores perched atop its head that can project parts of its dreams onto reality; and so-called 'charms' which are the physical byproduct of manifested dreams that have settled on its hide. Summoned to the surface by the Fire Oasis song, it has designated itself the official ambassador of the living ocean, cementing the glass-blown island as a welcome and permanent fixture among the waves.

Description[]

Cherubble is a Mythical Monster that is first found on Fire Oasis and can be teleported to Mythical Island once fed to level 15. It was designed by Erik Bergstol (ErikTheCleric) who pledged for the Ultimate Creator Experience in My Singing Monsters: The Board Game Kickstarter. It was added alongside shLep and Epic Glowl on November 23rd, 2022 during Version 3.7.2. Cherubble is obtained by breeding Congle and Woolabee. By default, its breeding time is 18 hours long. Despite being an elusive Mythical Monster, Cherubble does not have a high Coin production. The Goal for placing your first Cherubble rewards the player with 5 Diamonds.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]

On Fire Oasis, Cherubble can be obtained by breeding Congle and Woolabee. Note that it's not a 100% success rate, but the chances can be increased with Wishing Torches.

(Note that this combo can result in Rare Congle, Rare Woolabee, Rare Tweedle, or Rare Mammott if they’re available.)

On Mythical Island, a duplicate Cherubble can be obtained via unsuccessful breeding for a shLep, which has only one combination:

The Rare variant of any breeding Monster can be used instead of the Common variant.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Cherubble:

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Cherubble or when Cherubble and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Cherubble's likes as well:

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Egg Consumption[]

Main article: Zapping

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Cherubble eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Cherubble eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Cherubble is not required for the Celestial to ascend. Also note that Mythical Monsters, like Cherubble, cannot be zapped from Mythical Island.

Notes[]

  • Cherubble's name is a portmanteau of the words cherub and bubble.
  • Cherubble was the first Ultimate Creator Experience Mythical Monster to be released in the game.
  • The green Blubberfly does, in fact, move, just not very much. However, it does not fly from its position on Cherubble's harp.
  • Its nicknames Orygen and Majjistee are references to 'OriginOfMajesty', the handle of a fellow MSM content creator and close friend of Erik's.
  • The leitmotif of Cherubble's first and second tracks on Fire Oasis are inspired by the third track of the fanmade monster Permarfreggi.
  • Cherubble is the first monster to:
    • Be created by a fan of the game rather than the usual designers.
    • Have rest notes coming off it despite not being muted.
    • Be visually awake when muted.
  • Cherubble, Tympa, Squot, and Cantorell can all be seen opening their eyes during their mute animations, which are unlike the ones of every other monster.
    • Of the four, Cherubble is the only one who isn't sleeping or closing its eyes at any moment. This creates a Russian reversal humor where the only Monster that constantly sleeps is the one who's constantly awake (though still sleepy) while muted.
  • Upon its release, Cherubble only had three likes on Mythical Island, since it was missing its Monster like.
  • Cherubble resembles a nudibranch or sea slug.
  • During the December 2022 MSM Live, it was revealed that Cherubble was one of the earliest monsters created by the Colossals using the Spark of Life. After creating Monculus, the Colossals wanted to create something more organic; using a much stronger form of the Spark of Life, the Colossals created Cherubble, but accidentally imbued some of their own Colossal power within it. This resulted in the formation of the dreamcraft: an unstable DNA within Cherubble. Additionally, Cherubble has a strong connection to the Colossals.
    • Because of this, Blubberflies are considered to be among the earliest forms of Critters.
  • When its Blubberfly friends are sleeping, Cherubble slinks into the Living Ocean for a nice midnight dip, though it is still incredibly tired.[1]
  • The color schemes for each of the Blubberflies are similar to PomPom, Hoola, Sooza, and Rooba, but it's most likely a simple coincidence like it was with the Wimmzies.
  • Cherubble and Hyehehe have each other as likes in-game. This is because both of their creators, Erik and Quinn, are best friends in real life.
  • In My Singing Monsters Live February 2023, Monster-Handler Matt revealed that he forgot to make Hyehehe one of Cherubble’s likes.
  • It was stated by ErikTheCleric that Cherubble eats and absorbs food exactly like a Waddle Dee, that is instantly absorbing the food in where the mouth is supposed to be.
  • Since the release of Mimic, Cherubble is the only Mythical to be on an island with all 5 natural elements plus fire.
  • For some reason, Cherubble's fourth track does not play in the Official Soundtrack version of Mythical Island. Instead, it repeats its third track.
