| “ | Just when you thought you knew everything there was to know about the Monster World, something unexpected drops out of the sky... literally. Hurtling through the atmosphere and crash-landing atop the head of a heretofore unknown Colossal, features of this archaic setting seem to echo those of Starhenge, a mystical structure from ancient times. It was traditionally the lofty perch of the Celestials, luminous beings that shared a connection with the Monster World and the cosmic energies beyond; but... those were just stories... right? | ” |
About[]
Celestial Island (
) is an Island featuring the 12 Celestials. It was added to the game on June 27th, 2018, during version 2.2.1. Celestial Island uses similar mechanics to Wublin Island. All Celestials are bought in the form of statues with Keys and must be woken up by zapping eggs within the given timeframe. In version 3.9.4, the adult Celestials became available, and there would be more adult Celestials added each month. Before version 4.4.0, elders could also be seen in the Book of Monsters, but currently no elder Celestials are available yet.
Celestial Island was first teased in a Yool promo, then later in another short video, this time showing a sleeping Potbelly raising its larger head to view something in the sky. Its initial release was said to be June 26, however on that day, it was said to be released the day after.
In the promo, shown by what seems to be the name of the Island, Celestial Island, a couple of statuettes can be faintly seen in the background. Albeit vague and loosely shaped, these statues were the lithic forms of the Celestials Attmoz, Blasoom, and Hornacle, with Hornacle being on the left, Blasoom being at the bottom (in front of Hornacle), and Attmoz on the right. The Observatory that was used to obtain the Celestials in Dawn of Fire seems to be absent in the Celestial Island trailer, but is later shown to be destroyed alongside the miniature Island.
During SummerSong 2023, the young Celestials left Clubbox and went to Celestial Island with help from Boo'qwurm, who was driving the Skyship. Afterwards, Scaratar looks up at the Poison's Mark Constellation and ascends into its adult form. The other Celestials notice this, and they decide to rebuild the Observatory, but it collapses almost immediately afterwards. Young Loodvigg looked up at the stars using what was left of the Observatory to the Shadowed Glare Constellation, teasing adult Loodvigg, which was added in September of 2023.

Indigenous Monsters[]
There are 12 Celestials, and each Celestial can be purchased for a number of Keys (formerly some Diamonds). When purchased, the Celestials start out as statues. Similar to the Wublins, you must fill a Celestial's inventory by zapping eggs from other Islands under a time limit. Once the Celestial's inventory is filled, you have the option to 'revive it.' When you buy a key to the Celestial, it will zap eggs to the Celestial. After the eggs are completed, it will ascend into the adult. Rare Monster eggs are not accepted.
If you're looking for the Elements of the Flex Eggs for the adult Celestials, go to Zapping or the Celestials articles.

Notes[]
- Celestial Island, Wublin Island, and Amber Island are the only Islands that require zapping eggs to obtain Monsters.
- This is the first and only Island in My Singing Monsters to introduce only Monsters who originated from Dawn of Fire.
- The reason Starhenge crashed was revealed at Big Blue Bubble's Extra Life 2018 event, as it was stated that Starhenge was powered by the Continent during the Dawn of Fire. When the Continent split apart, Starhenge didn't have a power source anymore, and began running on a backup power source that it was storing up for a long, long time until the time of My Singing Monsters when it ran out, and it fell out of the sky and crash-landed on top of an "unknown Colossal."
- Celestial Island is the first Island to use a chord scale other than the regular Major and Minor, as it uses the Major Bebop scale.
- In the trailer for Celestial Island, you can hear, in this order: Furnoss, Glaishur, Torrt, Syncopite, and Galvana.
- There was a bass included in the trailer that isn't heard in-game.
- Celestial Island is the only Island to have Monsters that all belong to the same Element and Class.
- Celestial Island is the only zapping Island that doesn't have a Seasonal Monster.
- Celestial Island is the third Island without a base collection of 15 Monsters (out of all Islands with a collection in the Book of Monsters), with the first Island being Gold Island, the second being Wublin Island and the fourth being Amber Island.
- Celestial Island is currently the only Island to have all its indigenous Monsters not be available on any other Island.
- This is the 2nd Island to have this trait, following Wublin Island who held this title until it received Wubbox.
- Every Celestial residing over an Ethereal Element only requires Monsters that come from the same Island that the Single-Element Ethereal is available on.
- Similarly, almost every Celestial residing over a Natural Element only requires Monsters containing that Element.
- The outliers here are Furnoss and Galvana. Furnoss' requirements are all found on Fire Haven, but they don't all contain the Fire Element. Galvana's are found across the Natural Islands and on Fire Haven, as Electricity is a sort of "universal" Element. However, none of them contain the Electricity Element, as it is exclusive to the Wubboxes and the Wublins.
- Celestial Island and Starhenge are the only two Islands in the entire My Singing Monsters franchise to share the exact same lineup of Monsters.
- With no sales active, the sum of the cost of all Celestials is 157 Keys.
- If you were to wait until each Celestial is on sale for each of their respective months, it would cost you 63 Keys to get them all.
- Celestial Island's Book of Monsters is not listed as Common, Rare, and Epic, but rather they are replaced with young, adults, and elders.
- Celestial Island and Wublin Island are the only Islands in the game to not use eggs for their Island Intro animations, instead using elemental rocks and statues respectively.
- In Surely you Jest, Celestial Island is seen on the same side of the Seam as Air Island. However, in the current Map, it's on the opposite side of the Seam.
- Similarly, based on the perspectives from the Natural Islands, in The Sky is Falling, Celestial Island most likely landed in the general vicinity of Plant Island, Water Island, Wublin Island, and Light Island, though its possible that its angle of descent was barely flat enough (due to it falling at a steep angle) to be able to avoid landing there and fly over core instead of passing through it.
