“ | This Castle is where all the Monsters go to sleep at night. Each type of Monster needs a different number of beds. Keep upgrading so you can have more Monsters on your Island! | ” |
The Castle is a utility Structure in Dawn of Fire that is initially found at the center of the Continent. The Castle is what determines how many Monsters can be placed on the Continent by the number of beds it has. Because of the fact that multiple beds may be occupied per Monster currently placed on the Continent, one single Castle can cater up to half of all the species of Monster over the entire continent. Most Castle upgrades are purchased with Coins, with each upgrade having a higher Coin requirement. However, the final five upgrades require Diamonds instead. As the Castle is upgraded, more beds are unlocked. There are 12 levels to upgrade the Castle.
As of Version 1.8.0, a second Castle can also be purchased for 800 . It starts at level 1 and can be upgraded identically to the first Castle.

Notes[]
- Unlike the original game, the Castle in Dawn of Fire does not produce a Bass sound.
- As of Version 3.1.0, in order to have one of every Monster on the Continent, 192 beds are required. At minimum, this requires two Castles at level 12 and 10 respectively, which would have a total maximum of 200 beds.
- The Outer Islands have no Castles, thus they are only limited by physical space and by their respective Hotels.
- Unlike the original game, the Castle(s) can be moved anywhere on the Continent, as of Version 1.8.0.
- Before the introduction of the second Castle, lacking the beds to have every Monster on the Continent was a consistent issue.
- Prior to the 1.4.0 update, the highest Castle level was level 6, which did not have enough beds required to hold one of each Monster (54 bed capacity). At the time, this would have required 67 beds. The Level 7 Castle ensured enough beds from Version 1.4.0 to Version 1.5.1.
- The Level 7 Castle then ran out of the required amount of beds. At the time of Version 1.6.0, 83 beds would have been required.
- In Version 1.8.0, the second Castle was finally introduced, effectively doubling the total amount of beds. Additionally three regular upgrades were added to the Castle.
- While bed space was no longer an issue, Castle Level 11 was later released in Version 2.5.0.
- Upgrading the Castle to Level 3 increases the number of Monsters with the Monster Bonus from 1 to 2. Similarly, upgrading the Castle to Level 4 further increases the number from 2 to 3.
- As of Version 1.8.0, all Castle upgrades now require Coins or Diamonds, instead of Crystals. In the same update, there was an increase in the number of upgrades to the max level of Level 10 (formerly Level 7). Former Crystals costs and upgrade bed occupations are below:
- Between Version Version 1.10.0 and Version Version 1.12.0, all Castle upgrades required no time to build.
- Although first revealed alongside Version 1.8.0, the Level 8 Castle design did not actually appear in-game until Version 1.11.0.
- As the Castle is upgraded further, its appearance begins to resemble the Crystalline Castles in the original My Singing Monsters.
