Dawn of Fire

The prestige of being imbued with five Elements makes the Candelavra youngling prone to self-engrossment. It is anxious to share its talents with other Monsters, who good-naturedly tolerate the Candelavra's brazen vocal displays. However, it's important for this Quint-Element to learn the age-old adage that a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
Young Bio

Its youthful vanity a thing of the past, the mature Candelavra is a wonderful role model for monsters just about any elemental affiliation. It is a source of great inspiration, and selflessly devotes its time to lifting the spirits and song of its fellow performers. So long as its flame burns bright, hope can never be extinguished in the Monster World.
Adult Bio

This Candelavra returned from the Prism Gate forever changed! instead of its typical Fire-centric appearance, it has altered at the molecular level to exhibit Water-based phenotypes like curious shells and copious tentacles - extraordinary!
Prismatic Bio

Description[]

Candelavra is a Quint-Elemental Monster that is first available at Level 9. It is best obtained by breeding Spunge and Stogg. Its breeding and incubation time is 48 hours long. It can be teleported to Party Island once fed to level 5 and Space Island at level 10.

Song[]

Instrument: Synth Choir

Candelavra sings by sustaining magical-sounding "ooh" sounds. On the Continent, it sings near the end of the song.

On Space Island, it sings more magically and sings in a human soprano voice.

But on all the islands, Candelavra sings in a heavenly voice.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

VST: Kontakt 6
Sound library: Kontakt Factory
SoundFonts: Choir [u] (Continent and Space Island), Choir [a] (Party Island)

Breeding[]

Candelavra can be bred with the elements Air, Plant, Earth, Water, and Fire. It can be bred with the following combinations:

Of these, Spunge+Stogg is the best combination, as it has the shortest wait time per failed attempt.

Candelavra can also be bred through breeding failure. Any combination that includes Candelavra and another Monster has a 50% chance to result in either Candelavra or the other Monster. The best combinations include:

(Best choice, has the lowest waiting time in case of not resulting in a Candelavra. 50% chance of a Noggin)

(Second best choice, 50% chance of a Kayna)

Feeding Monsters[]

Rewards[]

When given the wanted foods or items, like any Monster, it will reward you coins.

Teleporting[]

Candelavra takes 80 hours to teleport to Space Island, and 5 minutes to teleport to Party Island.

Notes[]

Candelavra (Spooktacle Junior)

Young Candelavra's costume for Spooktacle Junior

  • Candelavra's name is a portmanteau of 'candelabra' and 'lava'.
  • Candelavra was the very first Quint-Element Monster ever seen in the My Singing Monsters universe.
  • Originally, Candelavra was going to have Tring's elements until its elements were changed, and it was made a Quint-Elemental.
  • Candelavra's adult bio leads to some unanswered questions, as seen in the adult bio: "So long as its flame burns bright, hope can never be extinguished in the Monster World".
  • In Candelavra's concept art, some of the prototypes appeared to look similar to the Opera Singer from the movie "The Fifth Element", a nod to the fact that it has five Elements. Link
  • Candelavra is the only Quint-Element Monster that can go to multiple Outer Islands.
  • Overall, it is one of the tallest Monsters in the My Singing Monsters franchise next to Wubbox.
  • Candelavra generates flames from its hands, similarly to how other Dawn of Fire Monsters produce effects, but only in its adult form. Its Prismatic variants also produce bubbles.
    • In Version 3.0.0, this effect was changed to feature sparkles instead of flames.
      • This was later reverted in Version 3.0.3.
  • During the initial release of Prismatic Candelavra, it was available for a total of 19 days, from December 17th, 2020 to January 4th, 2021. It is also the first Prismatic Monster whose first availability time spans between two years.
  • Candelavra resembles the Fire Element, even though it has Shellbeat's elements. It was probably mistaken as a Water Quint, which goes to Bowhead.
  • For some reason, on Party Island, Purple Prismatic Candelavra's shoulders change color.
  • With the release of PongPing, Young Candelavra's idle animation is much slower than the Continent's usual BPM. This is likely a bug and will get fixed soon, and is the only one from PongPing's release to not be fixed with the release of Update 2.9.
    • Adult Candelavra also started playing its Space Island singing animation on Party Island with the release of PongPing, but this has since been fixed.
    • There was also a bug on Party Island where Candelavra's singing animation plays much faster than normal, to the point where it freezes when it's done playing. The bug was fixed with the release of Update 3.0.3.
  • Candelavra had every possible breeding combination able to be used when Bisonorus came out.
  • All of Candelavra's breeding parents have Prismatics as of Pummel, making it the first Quint to have this happen. The second is Prismatic Drummidary with the addition of Prismatic PongPing.
  • Although Candelavra represents the Fire Element, its Prismatic forms seem to represent the Water Element instead. This may be a trend as Prismatic Drummidary represents Air instead of Earth.
  • Candelavra was teased when Dawn of Fire first released, as a silhouette of young Candelavra's flame could be seen behind the Dawn of Fire logo on a Twitter post made on the game's release.
