“ | Eww. Almost unique among Wublins, this Monster's appearance definitely brings to mind the eggs used to wake it... and also elicits a gag reflex. The Brump uses its Furcorn-like headstalks and Fwoggy feet to forage for food. It's pretty nasty, but presumably like you, we just can't seem to look away. | ” |

Description[]
Brump is a Supernatural Monster exclusive to Wublin Island. It was added on March 24th, 2016 during Version 1.4.0. Brump is obtained by being purchased in the Market for 2,000 as an inactive statue, which can be woken up by zapping all required Monster Eggs into it. It has the lowest currency production compared to other Wublins.
Song[]
Voice actor: Dave Kerr
Brump sings in a raspy, digitally altered tone. It repeatedly says "Wake up the Wublins."
Breeding[]
Brump cannot be bred. Like all Wublins, it is bought at the Market as an inactive statue that must be woken up using monster eggs.
Powering Up[]
The allotted time to fill a Brump in order for it to activate is 2 days. If the inventory is not completed in time, then the Brump resets to an empty statue and all eggs inside are lost. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural Islands.
Egg | Time | Islands to Breed On | ||||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
x6 | 8 hours / 6 hours | Plant |
Cold |
Earth |
Light |
Shugabush | ||||||||
x2 | 30 minutes / 22.5 minutes | Plant |

Filling In[]
Like other Wublins, Brump can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 30. Brump requires a total of 240 for all eggs to be filled.
Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.
Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Brump's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.
Income[]
- Main article: Wublins#Income
Brump, like other Wublins, can produce between 39,000 and 78,000 Coins, 7,200 and 14,400 Treats, and 144 and 288 Shards. As a Monster that takes up a 2x2 grid space, Brump produces 2 Diamonds. Wublins generate a random type of currency every 6 to 12 hours. This rate can be increased or decreased depending on Polarity.
Currency generation is calculated separately per Monster, so multiple Brumps will receive more currency, and have a higher chance overall to obtain valuable Diamonds. For maximizing income across your Wublin Island, see Wublin Island Grid Planning.
Currency Distribution[]
- Main article: Wublins#Currency Type Distribution
The currency for Brump is randomly selected from the 4 currencies it can produce. The chances to get each currency are detailed below. Datapoints are the number of recorded collections; the higher number of datapoints, the more accurate the data is.
Coins | Treats | Shards | Diamonds | Datapoints |
---|---|---|---|---|
32.46% | 31.67% | 32.33% | 3.53% | 3,795 |
Please do not edit this table. The data is taken from the Wublins page, which is derived from a joint spreadsheet. You can share your data on its talk page. Note that only large sample sizes of data are valuable.
Polarity[]
All Wublins are affected by Polarity, a mechanic that modifies their currency rate similar to happiness for other Monsters. When a Wublin is placed near another Wublin they are positively charged towards, the time to produce currency will decrease by 25%. When placed near a Wublin they are negatively charged towards, the time to produce currency will increase by 25%. The Common variants can be used instead for Rare Wublins, but the effect will be half as strong. Rare variants can fully affect the polarity of a Common Wublin.
The following Wublins affect Brump's polarity:
Negatively affects Brump | Positively affects Brump |
---|---|
Blipsqueak |
Fleechwurm |
Brump also affects the polarity of the following Wublins:

Strategy[]
- The following section details strategy for powering up Brump, for general strategy that can apply to any Monster, see Zapping#Strategy
It is recommended to have at least Cold Island unlocked, but Brump can be powered up with only Plant Island. It can be powered up faster with more Islands unlocked, with Bonus Breeding Structures, or Enhanced Breeding Structures.
The following strategies require zapping Eggs twice per day, once in the morning and once at night. More than two Monsters may be included in a day if it has a lower breeding time. For Fwog, the player will need to return to the game to zap it in 30 minutes.
If you have Plant and Cold Islands, breed:
Island | Day 1 | Day 2 |
---|---|---|
Plant Island |
Furcorn x2 |
Furcorn Fwog x2 |
Cold Island |
Furcorn x2 |

If you have all Islands up to Earth unlocked, you can complete Brump faster by using this strategy:

Notes[]
- Brump's name may come from the slang word "brump", which means something that lacks social skills but is still tolerable, as stated in its description.
- There used to be a typographical error in "and also illicits a gag reflex" in Brump's biography. "Illicit" is an adjective describing something that is illegal. The correct word is "elicit", meaning to inspire or provoke, which meant, for a while, it was saying "It also makes gagging against the law". This was corrected to "and also elicits a gag reflex" in a later update of Version 1.4.1.
- The way that Brump has Furcorn Egg-like headstalks on the holes on its head may be based on the Common Suriname toad, whose eggs stay embedded on its skin until they hatch. However, Brumps appear not to hatch these eggs, based on part of the description of the monster "using Furcorn-like stalks to forage for food".
- Brump uses the least number of unique species eggs out of all nineteen Wublins, using only two species' eggs.
- Brump only requires six Furcorn eggs to power up, yet there is one extra seventh Furcorn egg that appears when Brump is active. It is not known where it comes from.
- The "Monster-Handlers have done more research" GIF describes Brump as "a great listener despite having no ears".
- Brump is the only Wublin to have only 2 days to wake up, mainly because it is the easiest to wake up.
- Brump has the lowest currency production of any Monster on Wublin Island.
- Brump is the least expensive Wublin to buy.
- The eggs zapped into Brump are reflected on its appearance:
