A Boodoo's shakers and ornamental headdress represent only a small portion of its creative pursuits; monsters far and wide will travel to witness the unveiling of a Boodoo original.
Monster Bio

Description

Boodoo is a double-element Ethereal Monster exclusive to Ethereal Island. It was added on September 19th, 2013 during Version 1.2.0. It is best obtained by breeding Grumpyre and Jeeode. By default, its breeding time is 1 day and 18 hours long. As a double-element Ethereal, Boodoo does not have a high shard production.

The Boodoo shakes its headpiece and strikes its crystal shakers together making to make sounds similar to a tambourine.

Likes

Every monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the monster, the monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a monster will still only increase its happiness by 25%. If there's a Unity Tree on the island, items don't need to be near the monsters. Statistics

Earning Rate and Maximum Income

Earning rate is in Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters

Each monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the monster's level increases the shards earned per hour, as well as the maximum shards earned.

Possible Monster Names

Notes

  • Boodoo's name is a portmanteau of the word "voodoo" and the onomatopoeia for scaring, "boo". Voodoo or Vodou is a religion found in Haiti or in certain parts of North and South America.
  • The Boodoo was introduced to the game on September 19th 2013.
  • The Boodoo is the one of the two monsters that make an instrumental sound by shaking its head, the other being the Yool.
  • The Boodoo is the one of the two double-element ethereal monsters with the element shadow to not sing, the other being the Arackulele.
  • In the Rare Boodoo's bio, it is hinted that the Boodoo may have a third eye hidden by its mask.
  • The Boodoo appears in Jammer Splash, and can only be won via the completion of the Ethereal Dungeon.
    • When the Boodoo is unlocked, its name is spelled in CamelCase, as 'BooDoo'. This is the only place where it is written this way.
  • Boodoo is the only Ethereal Monster not to have a visible mouth.
    • However, it does have visible teeth.
