“ | Do you have a love of reading and brain teasers, but you're nervous about trying to crack open any of those fearsomely-toothed Bib'leos lyin' around? No sweat for the clever Boo'qwurm, who has a special way with the rambunctious creatures. Exceptionally well-read and stuffed to the brim with wit and wordplay, this Seasonal simply recites a favorite passage from memory or solves a particularly challenging word puzzle, and the Bib'leos immediately become docile. So docile, in fact, that a Boo'qwurm is able to use special pads in its hands to drum upon their covers and absorb all of the knowledge contained therein. It's supposedly much faster that way - makes studying for tests a breeze. | ” |

Boo'qwurm's contribution to the song is a sound similar to a Chilean Bombo drum, played by hitting its stack of Bib'leos.

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Boo'qwurm:
- Poppette (requires level 9) ()
- Ffidyll (level 9) ()
- Zuffle Tree (level 20)
- Fossil-osaurus (level 17)
- Toob (level 10) ()

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
- Main article: Zapping
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Boo'qwurm eggs immediately, instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Boo'qwurm eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Also note that Seasonal Monsters, like Boo'qwurm, cannot be zapped from Seasonal Shanty.

Notes[]
- Both of the Monsters used to breed Boo'qwurm on Seasonal Shanty can be bred on Air Island. Despite this, Boo'qwurm itself is unavailable on Air Island.
- Boo'qwurm's name is a malaprop of the word bookworm, a term for a person who is devoted to reading.
- Boo'qwurm is the last Aux. Seasonal Monster to be released on Seasonal Shanty.
- Boo'qwurm appears to have a hair bun that looks very similar to Maw on its head.
- However, in the second episode of Quick Questions with Monster-Handler Tyson, Tyson confirmed that it is actually a second mouth for Boo'qwurm to consume food without staining its Bib'leos.
- The idea that Boo'qwurm uses this "second" mouth for eating without staining its Bib'leos is a possible reference to the Japanese yokai, Futakuchi-onna, in which said yokai feasts on food by using a hidden second mouth located in its hair, without having the actual mouth located on the face needing to chew.
- In the sixth episode of Quick Questions with Monster-Handler Tyson, Tyson also confirmed that there is no known evolutionary link between Maw and Boo'qwurm.
- However, in the second episode of Quick Questions with Monster-Handler Tyson, Tyson confirmed that it is actually a second mouth for Boo'qwurm to consume food without staining its Bib'leos.
- The way Boo'qwurm can absorb knowledge from Bib'leos by piling and "scanning" them is similar to some library scanning machines in real life that can scan piled books' barcodes.
- It achieves this by projecting quick, low-grade x-rays down into the book, which is paired with its eidetic (photographic) memory, allowing it to recall and preserve that information cleanly.
- Boo'qwurm is one of only two Seasonal Monsters to occupy two beds, the other being Schmoochle. This may be due to the Monster's Bib'leos.
- It is one of three Seasonal Monsters overall to occupy more than one bed, with Jam Boree taking up three beds.
- "Bib'leos" may derive from "Bibliothèque", which means library in French.
- Their name also seems to be related to the prefix "biblio-", which refers to books as a whole.
- Their name in the German version of the game is "Bibliöwen", the "Löwen" part of which means "lions". It is therefore likely that the "leo" part of their name refers to the Latin word "leo", which means lion.
- This could also just be based on the word "bibliography".
- Boo'qwurm's sound could first be heard in this teaser on Twitter, four months before its official release.
- The bib'leo that Boo'qwurm is reading is likely based on the Necronomicon ex Mortis from Evil Dead.
- Boo'qwurm is the first Seasonal Monster that is part of an inventory of a Monster.
- This was formerly the case for Gobbleygourd, who mistakenly used to be part of the inventory for Barrb's Vessel, before it was replaced by Gob.
- The "book worm" pronunciation is the casual, vernacular way of saying its name while the official, correct pronunciation is "book rr-urm," the double-r representing a rolled r.
- This is similar to the pronunciation of Cruv'laapht, the Titan host of Psychic Island.
