“ | Some musicians tickle the ivories, but the Bona-Petite prefers tickling the ribs. Or perhaps 'having its ribs tickled' is more accurate, depending on which of these two percussionists we're talking about here. Truth is, each is symbiotically connected to the other and equally responsible for delivering punchy kick patterns peppered with a little bottom-end bulk. The duo consists of two monsters, amiably dubbed 'Bona' and 'Petite' by their Wublin pals. The smaller Petite puts the 'riff' in 'midriff,' while the larger Bona grumbles endlessly about indigestion. | ” |

Description[]
Bona-Petite is a Supernatural Monster exclusive to Wublin Island. It was added on April 28th, 2017 during Version 2.0.5. Bona-Petite is obtained by being purchased in the Market for 20,000 as an inactive statue, which can be woken up by zapping all required Monster Eggs into it. It has a decent currency production compared to other Wublins.
Song[]
Instrument(s): Cowbell/Sand blocks/synthesized kick drum
The song Bona-Petite makes is a two-tone cowbell, a triangle, a drum machine, percussive Sand blocks, & a synthesized kick drum.
VSTs[]
Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.
Loop Manufacturer: Cubase
Loopset: LoopMash
Loop: Compton House Drums
Effect: Distortion - Brit-Drums
Breeding[]
Bona-Petite cannot be bred. Like all Wublins, it is bought at the Market as an inactive statue that must be woken up.
Powering Up[]
The allotted time to fill a Bona-Petite in order to activate is 10 days. If the inventory is not completed in the time the Bona-Petite resets to an empty statue and all eggs inside are lost. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]
Like other Wublins, Bona-Petite can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 30. Bona-Petite requires a total of 2,040 for all eggs to be filled.
Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.
Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Bona-Petite's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.
Income[]
- Main article: Wublins#Income
Bona-Petite, like other Wublins, can produce between 39,000 and 78,000 Coins, 7,200 and 14,400 Treats, and 144 and 288 Shards. As a Monster that takes up a 3x3 grid space, Bona-Petite produces 3 Diamonds. Wublins generate a random type of currency every 6 to 12 hours. This rate can be increased or decreased depending on Polarity.
Currency generation is calculated separately per Monster, so multiple Bona-Petites will receive more currency, and have a higher chance overall to obtain valuable Diamonds. For maximizing income across your Wublin Island, see Wublin Island Grid Planning.
Currency Distribution[]
- Main article: Wublins#Currency Type Distribution
The currency for Bona-Petite is randomly selected from the 4 currencies it can produce. The chances to get each currency are detailed below. Datapoints are the number of recorded collections; the higher number of datapoints, the more accurate the data is.
Coins | Treats | Shards | Diamonds | Datapoints |
---|---|---|---|---|
31.42% | 31.28% | 29.79% | 7.50% | 2,212 |
Please do not edit this table. The data is taken from the Wublins page, which is derived from a joint spreadsheet. You can share your data on its talk page. Note that only large sample sizes of data are valuable.
Polarity[]
All Wublins are affected by Polarity, a mechanic that modifies their currency rate similar to happiness for other Monsters. When a Wublin is placed near another Wublin they are positively charged towards, the time to produce currency will decrease by 25%. When placed near a Wublin they are negatively charged towards, the time to produce currency will increase by 25%. The Common variants can be used instead for Rare Wublins, but the effect will be half as strong. Rare variants can fully affect the polarity of a Common Wublin.
The following Wublins affect Bona-Petite's polarity:
Negatively affects Bona-Petite | Positively affects Bona-Petite |
---|---|
Creepuscule |
Zuuker |
Bona-Petite also affects the polarity of the following Wublins:

Strategy[]
- The following section details strategy for powering up Bona-Petite, for general strategy that can apply to any Monster, see Zapping#Strategy
Bona-Petite can be powered up with up to Air Island unlocked. It can be powered up faster with more Islands unlocked, with Bonus Breeding Structures, or Enhanced Breeding Structures.
The following strategies require zapping Eggs twice per day, once in the morning and once at night. More than two Monsters may be included in a day if it has a lower breeding time. For Maw, Drumpler, and Fwog, you will need to return to the game to zap it after 30 minutes. However the more dedicated player could zap more per day. When paired with a triple-element, be sure to breed the 30 minute Monster first, then breed the Triple after returning 30 minutes later.
Note that the tables below don't include the required 10 Mammotts needed to power up Bona-Petite. Since Mammott has a very low Breeding time, they can be easily obtained during or after you zap all of the other Monsters. A good method is to cycle through 3 to 4 Islands it's available on, so you don't have to wait around for a minute.
If you have all Islands up to Air Island, breed:

Notes[]
- Bona-Petite's name is a play on the well-known French term "Bon appétit" meaning "good appetite" in English (This is a bit ironic since Petite is in Bona's stomach area) and "bone", referring to Bona's visible skeletal system. It is also a play on "petite", meaning small, which describes the blue monster, Petite.
- The teaser puzzle uses bone names to reveal Bona-Petite´s name.
- Bona-Petite is the fourth Wublin to not have its part in the Wublin Island soundtrack. The first one was Scargo, the second was Astropod, and the third was Pixolotl.
- In Bona-Petite's Twitter teaser,[1] its track is not distorted.
- To commemorate its initial release, the Rare versions of all nine of its Monster inventory were available to buy and breed for 72 hours.
- Bona-Petite is the first Monster with the capability of playing three distinct instruments (Drums in drum kits only count as one distinct instrument in this case).
- Petite's blue, slimy skin, as well as its pink eyelids and lips, loosely resemble Toe Jammer, but those eggs are not actually required to wake up this Wublin.
- Additionally, the shape of the head and postitioning of the facial features resemble the blue jammer from Jammer Splash.
- Bona-Petite plays in the Air Reverie on The Colossingum, even though it does not appear on Air Island. This may be because the drum sounds used by Bona-Petite were originally going to be used by Reebro.
- Bona-Petite's naming structure is the same as Teeter-Tauter's. Both are a combination of two names separated by a hyphen.
- HippityHop has a very similar naming structure, also being a combination of two names.
