My Singing Monsters Wiki

The following is an excerpt retrieved from the Monster development journals of an unidentified Colossal, chronicling some of their earliest recorded efforts in the pocket dimension:

"The 'Bogle' project has unfortunately been placed on indefinite hiatus. Thought we were really onto something, designing a creature that stored air within a solid globe on its back to produce its music. That would be its air supply as it sang forth. Alas, the plans for the Core Air Elemental didn't really come together the way we planned - the inflexibility of the globe makes inhalation and exhalation a challenge for Bogle, coupled with its intense weight requiring multiple legs slapdashedly added to support it. We're starting from scratch on this one, although we'll be keeping a few aspects - it'll still be a vocalist, and we're all quite partial to the color scheme."

Seemingly added much later, another Colossal's notes have been scribbled in the margin:

"A fresh perspective on Bogle has rendered this Monster viable. Most importantly - no longer a vocalist. The rigid globe of the original has been swapped out for an elastic air sack. Now that that weight has been lifted, the load-bearing legs have been converted into tubes through which the air can flow. Preserved the original's distracted personality because it's charming, but added a few avian touches of the final Air Elemental (like furthers and claws) for good measure.

Monster Bio

Description[]

Bogle is a Primordial Monster of the Air Element () and is exclusive to Mech Islet. It was added alongside Rare Squot on June 25th, 2025, during version 4.8.4. As a Primordial Monster, it is obtained by Dish-Harmonizing after obtaining all other Monsters on Mech Islet. Its incubation time is 2 days and 2 hours long. Being an elusive Primordial Monster, Bogle has an excellent shard production on Mech Islet. However, only one can be placed. The Goal for placing your first Bogle rewards the player with 10 Diamonds ().

Being a Primordial Monster, Bogle functions like a Unity Tree, with its presence allowing for Common Monsters to be placed anywhere on the Island without affecting the Happiness of other Common Monsters.

Song[]

Audio Sample:

Instrument: Flute

With the tentacle pipes, the Bogle can produce a staccato sound similar to that of a breathy wah flute. While playing, the air sac is pumped.

VSTs[]

Main article: VSTs

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

VST: SINE
Sound library: SINEfactory
Pack: Mistral
Path: Jazz Flute
Preset: Overblown

Obtaining[]

Bogle becomes available once all of the Ethereal Monsters on Mech Islet have been collected, and by having at least 3 of each elemental Meeb. When a Monster is Dish-Harmonized and results in a Vhenshun, there is a chance for this Vhenshun to be "upgraded" into a Bogle.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Bogle:

Gaddzooks
(requires level 19)

Nitebear
(level 19)

Teeter-Tauter
(level 19)

Bellowfish
(level 19)
()

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: Since Bogle acts as a Unity Tree, Monsters never need to be placed near it to increase its happiness.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Bogle or when Bogle and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Bogle's likes as well:

Notes[]

  • Bogle's name is an anagram of "globe" in reference to the fact that it had a globe on its back instead of an air sack (according to its bio) and also in ode to its first depiction as a statue in-game: the Globe of Diamonds currency pack.
  • Bogle's Bio, like the other Primordial Monsters, involves first person writing, being notes written by two Colossals, the second likely being Zarroë. The Colossal that wrote the first note could be Zeffree.
  • In Dawn of Fire, Bogle can be seen in the "Globe of Diamonds" Market item, as a Bubblerite statue filled with Diamonds, while in My Singing Monsters, the Life-Formula Island Skin features it as an Obstacle with blue crystals instead. In early versions of Dawn of Fire, the pack used to be called "Mound of Diamonds."
  • Bogle was teased in a Department of Monstrous Anomalies report alongside Cruv'laaphtian Crocus.[1]
  • Bogle never uses its three back pipes during its track 1 animation.
  • All of Bogle's likes are Monsters with the Element, the only Element that the Islet's Quad-Element Monster, Vhenshun, doesn't have.
  • Bogle is 3x3, despite its Life-Formula statue being 2x2. This is likely due to the tentacles taking up more space on the finalized design.
  • Bogle is the second monster to use a free VST for its sound. The first was Bonkers.
