“ | Picture yourself in a boat on a river, with Hummatite trees and star-spangled skies… that's reportedly the setting that appeared in the Plant Mythical's imagination when it first envisioned the Bleatnik. This Dreamythical has inherited its counterpart's love of napping and snoozing, and spends the majority of its time lost in delightful reveries of its own. In these reveries, the Monster describes cavorting and frolicking in fields of strawberries - although on closer inspection, they might be Halleberries. When it is awake, the Bleatnik loves to gurgle forth a transcendental vocal line that harkens back to its psychedelic origins - just be careful around its unusually serrated beak as it shudders open and closed. | ” |

Description[]
Bleatnik is a Dreamythical Monster exclusive to Mythical Island. It was added on October 5th, 2022 during Version 3.7.1. It is best obtained by breeding Cataliszt and G'joob. By default, its breeding time is 1 day and 3 hours long. Bleatnik has a decent Coin production compared to other Monsters on Mythical Island. The Goal for placing your first Bleatnik rewards the player with 10 .
Song[]
Voice actor: Matthew Stewart or Tom Melkie (probably; modified sample)
Bleatnik sings in an eerie soft-like bleating voice, as its second track is harmonizing with Yawstrich.
Bleatnik goes "ooh-la-lay".
VSTs[]
Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.
The vocal effect was speculated to be "Mushroom - Manipulator", but it wasn't sure that Tom ever used that kind of preset. So, the exact one used for Bleatnik has not yet been found.
Breeding[]
To breed Bleatnik, you will need to breed Cataliszt and G'joob. Note that it is not a 100% success rate, but the chances can be increased with Wishing Torches.
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Bleatnik:
- G'joob (requires level 9)
- Macho Monument (level 23)
- Harmonorb Holder (level 18)
- Wubbox Stockpile (level 20) ()

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

Notes[]
- Bleatnik's name seems to be derived from the words "bleat" and "beatnik".
- The first sentence of its bio is a parody of the opening lyric of the Beatles' song "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds", and "Strawberry Fields Forever", also by the Beatles, is referenced later in its bio.
- Interestingly, Bleatnik's creator, G'joob, gets its name from, and is partially inspired by, another Beatles song, "I Am the Walrus".
- Bleatnik's bio seems to reference actress Halle Berry.
- It also references the retired Big Blue Bubble game Greatfruit Grove, with the Halleberry Tree and Fruit.
- Like other Dreamythicals, Bleatnik's income at level 1 is 10,005 , which is a reference to its release date.
- Unlike other Dreamythicals, Bleatnik's bio does not explain why it looks the way it does. Sporerow also shares this trait.
- For unknown reasons, Bleatnik was unobtainable on Steam upon release, and only became available 2 days later on October 7th, 2022.
- Unlike most, if not all, monsters, Bleatnik's idle animation has no rhythm. This may be a reference to the nonconformist nature of beatniks.
- Bleatnik and Sporerow are the only Double-Element Monsters on Mythical Island to play at Cherubble's verse.
- Coincidentally, they are both the Dreamythicals whose bio does not explain why it looks the way it does.
