My Singing Monsters Wiki
My Singing Monsters

It takes TWO to tango, and in this case it takes TWO to sing as well. Together since birth, these Fire Monsters have a great knack for communication (usually one telling the other what TWO do). With the diminutive Emperor Bisonorus atop the burly Standard Bisonorus, they are unstoppably fearless - except that one time when the latter had to crisis-manage the former's dignity after an unusual wardrobe malfunction involving some possibly imaginary clothes. With each supporting the other, they always seem to have can-TWO attitudes.

Description[]

Bisonorus is a Quad-Element Fire Monster that is found on Psychic Island and Amber Island. It was added on November 9th, 2022, during version 3.7.2. As a Quad-Element Fire Monster on a Magical Island, Bisonorus is only available at select times. When available, it is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 300 Relics (Relics). By default, its incubation time is 1 day and 16 hours long. Bisonorus has a high Coin production on Psychic Island, comparable to Gloptic and Edamimi. The Goal for placing your first Bisonorus rewards the player with 100,000 Coins (Coins) and 4 Relics (Relics).

On Amber Island, Bisonorus is only available at select times. When available, it is obtained by purchasing in the Market for 30 Relics (Relics) as a Vessel, which then can be revitalized by zapping eggs into it. As a Fire Quad-Elemental, Bisonorus has an excellent Relic production.

Song[]

Voice Sample:

Voice actor: Tom Meikle[1]

Bisonorus sings "dum diddly dum dum" with a deep, whispery voice, like it does in Dawn of Fire, with the smaller "Emperor" Bisonorus providing an echo.

On Amber Island, Bisonorus sings in the first half of the first PongPing verse, in a call and response with Wynq during the B-section with Drummidary. On Psychic Island, it provides supporting vocals during the initial A-section with Theremind and Bowhead. On Mirror Psychic Island, it plays at the very end of the song with Theremind and Hairionette.

Breeding[]

Unlike in Dawn of Fire, Bisonorus cannot be bred. Instead, it must be purchased from the Market. On Amber Island, it must be purchased as an inactive Vessel and revitalized by zapping eggs.

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree or a Primordial Monster of the same rarity on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Bisonorus:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Note: On Amber Island, all of Bisonorus' likes are only obtainable for a limited time. Amber Vessels must be revitalized before they count towards Bisonorus' happiness.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Bisonorus or when Bisonorus and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Bisonorus's likes as well:

Revitalizing[]

On Amber Island, Bisonorus must be powered up rather than being bred. Unlike Wublins and Celestials, the allotted time to fill a Vessel does not start when the first egg is zapped, but instead are only available to purchase and fill at select times. The inventory must be completed in this time. When a purchased vessel is incomplete after the time, it will disappear and half of the relics spent will be given back. You will also get the option to revive Bisonorus by purchasing the missing eggs with Diamonds. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural and Magical Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Monsters on Amber Island, Bisonorus can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 40Diamonds. Bisonorus requires a total of 1,680Diamonds for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Bisonorus's inventory with 1 Wildcards per egg. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Notes[]

  • Bisonorus' name is a portmanteau of bison, a horned mammal which Bisonorus vaguely resembles, and sonorous, meaning full in sound or impressive in style. It is also somewhat derived from rhinoceros, another horned mammal.
  • Bisonorus' bio references the story "The Emperor's New Clothes."
  • Bisonorus is one of the only two Monsters to have the Air Element on Psychic Island, the other being Bowhead.
  • Although Bisonorus is on Psychic Island, it did have a chance of becoming the Quad of Fire Frontier (before Psychic Island), as it was representing Team Air.
    • If Bisonorus was to have its own Island, it would have the most vocalist Monsters of all Quads at 12 (13 if Spunge is counted as one). The only ones who are not vocalists at all are Quibble and Rootitoot.
  • There used to be an error in the Fan Kit at release where Bisonorus' avatar was missing. This was fixed when Rare Bisonorus' avatar was added.
