“ | Indigenous to the aquaslime pools of Ethereal Island, this blubberous beast always wants to be smack dab in the middle of the action. So that they never miss out on that action, Bellowfish cooperate to create each other's crystal-powered mechanized suits, which let them leave the water and join in the musical menagerie. That said, they're not particularly known for their punctuality; if there's a latecomer to a monster party, it's safe to assume a Bellowfish is the one who knocks. | ” |

Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Bellowfish:
- Ghazt (requires level 9)
- Meldablend (level 5)
- Tree Hut (level 17)
- Zuffle Tree (level 20) ()

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the shards earned per minute, as well as the maximum shards earned.

Notes[]
- Bellowfish's name is a portmanteau of "bellows", from an accordion, and fish, an underwater animal. It may also be a pun on "Blowfish" or "Crested bellowsfish".
- The "latecomer" line in Bellowfish's bio may be a reference to the fact that it was one of the later Double-Element Ethereal Monsters to be added. It was the sixth Double-Element Ethereal (after Kazilleon, and before Dragong), completing the set comprised of the first four Ethereal Elements (Plasma, Shadow, Mech, and Crystal). Therefore, Bellowfish could have been added before Humbug and the Poison Element were available, but it wasn't, and therefore it might be considered "late."
- When muted, Bellowfish tucks its arms in, probably to prevent its arms from accidentally producing a sound.
- The "coming soon" image is a clear reference to the Breaking Bad logo. Also, "Crystal Mech" references an illicit drug prominent in the show.
- The line in Bellowfish's description about it "being the one who knocks" is a reference to a famous line from Breaking Bad. In addition, all of Bellowfish's default names are misspellings of various characters from Breaking Bad.
- In one scene from Breaking Bad, the main character, Walter White, compares Jesse Pinkman, another character, to a blowfish. However, this is likely coincidental.
- Bellowfish, as well as Jellbilly, were teased in a Facebook banner featuring Water Island. Other Double-Element Ethereals were also teased in this manner.
- Despite the fact that Bellowfish is present in the Market in the PlayStation®Vita version of My Singing Monsters, its corresponding Goal is missing in that version of the game.
- It has not been proven that Bellowfish is breedable on the PlayStation®Vita version of the game.
- Bellowfish's suit, which is powered by a crystal, may be a reference to how Iron Man's suit is powered by an arc reactor.
- It takes about 5 hours for its suit to be made, and it takes a team of Bellowfish to create a new suit.
- Within Bellowfish's suit are artificial lungs that attach to its respiratory system that fill with air whenever its arms are stretched out. It then exhales the air when it pushes the accordion arms in, allowing air to escape its mouth making the sound. It is unknown if it can use its mouth to talk.[1]
- Bellowfish's name may also be a portmanteau of the bellows in a forge considering the fact that its arms have a similar appearance.
