Backup Buddies is the fifth Quest in The Colossingum, unlocked after completing Monster Crossing.

Strategy[]
The Quest requires you to use two Double-Element Natural Monsters. It is recommended to train your Monsters to at least level 5, to use their Elemental move. As usual, you should try to use Monsters with Elemental Moves strong against your opponent, and not weak to any of theirs:
- For Stage 1, use Maw and Fwog.
- For Stage 2, use Maw and Furcorn (if you have it, otherwise use either Fwog or Drumpler, but note that they are weak to and against your opponent's attacks).
- For Stage 3, use Drumpler and Maw.
Quest Rewards[]
Completing the entire Quest rewards the following:
- Ironclad Claws
- Unlocks the next Quest: Three's a Crowd
