BUM-ble Beginnings is the first Quest in The Colossingum and acts as a tutorial for the Battle mechanic.

Tutorial[]
In this Quest, you are guided by the Furcorn from the tutorial. The Quest makes you use a level 4 Mammott that is already present on the Island. The first stage of the Quest is impossible to lose. After beating the first stage, you are required to train the Mammott to level 5. You can then choose to wait 6 minutes for the training to finish, or speed it up for 1 (which you receive from beating the first stage of the Quest). Afterwards, you must complete the second stage of the Quest. Once the Quest is complete, the tutorial makes you redeem Mammott's Costume and then place the Trophy.
Strategy[]
Because of all of the restrictions present in the tutorial, there is no strategy needed to complete this Quest. As long as you follow the tutorial, you will most likely beat this Quest on your first try. Using Hoarse Holler in the first stage and Snow Bawl in the second stage guarantees a win.
Quest Rewards[]
Completing the entire Quest rewards the following:
- Belt of Belting Costume (Mammott)
- BUM-ble Beginnings Trophy
- Unlocks the next Quest: Playful Pioneers
Finishing the rest of the tutorial also rewards:
- Unlocks Costumes on the main Islands
- Unlocks the ability to teleport other Monsters to the Colossingum
- Unlocks the Market on the Colossingum
- Unlocks full use of the Conservatory

- This is the only normal quest to give a Costume that does not give the Monster a new move.
- For players who hadn't finished the tutorial for the Colossingum before version 3.1.0, they would start the second stage of this quest unable to use the same move more than once, until they got a defeat. This is why the enemy is stronger than the player. This has been fixed as of version 3.1.0 exclusively for Steam, when the Level 7 Noggin was brought down to Level 5.
- Because of this, not failing the second level of this quest where the player was supposed to fail the level, causes the training of the Monster to be impossible to reach until they fail at that level.
- As part of the tutorial, players are forced to lose in the second stage.
- At release, the BUM-ble Beginnings Trophy's name was displayed as '${CAMPAIGN} trophy', this has since been fixed.
- Despite being told to place the Trophy on The Colossingum, the Trophy can be placed on any unlocked Islands where Decorations are allowed.
- Originally, the tutorial would tell you to place the Trophy on Plant Island. This was changed in version 4.0.0, which let players place Trophies on The Colossingum.
- The Quest's title is a pun on the phrase "humble beginnings" (as it is the first Quest on The Colossingum) and the sound Mammott usually makes, "bum" (as Mammott is featured in the Quest).
- It is impossible to lose against the Toe Jammer on the first stage of the Quest in the mobile version.
