Strategy[]

  • Stage 1: Use a level 14+ Kazilleon. It has a shadow move, which is strong against the Ghazt. Watch out for the Ghazt's Plasma attack!
  • Stage 2: Use a level 14+ Dragong. Its mech move is strong against the Grumpyre.
  • Stage 3: Use a level 14+ Fung Pray and Jellbilly, which both have strong moves against their opponents.
  • Stage 4: Use a level 16+ Jellbilly and Dragong. Use the Jellbilly to easily counter the Humbug with its Plasma attack. The Jellbilly may immediately die to the Whisp, but that is what your Dragong is for. You could also use a Kazilleon against the Whisp, but the Whisp then cannot use a weak attack against the Kazilleon like it can for the Dragong (i.e. Shadow is neutral against Shadow and Poison, but is weak against Mech).
  • Stage 5: This is the hardest stage of the quest, for you are at an unfair disadvantage in battling the monsters' weakness, Plasma. For this stage, all your Poison monsters need to be trained to at least level 18 for a decent chance of success. Since none of the opposing monsters have the Shadow element, a Dragong would be useless, so that leaves Jellbilly, Kazilleon, and Fung Pray as the optimal team (assuming you own one of every monster).
  • Stage 6: This stage is easier than the previous one. This time, all the opposing monsters contain the Shadow element instead of the Plasma element, therefore making the Dragong suddenly the most useful monster to have on your team and Kazilleon the monster you should not have on your team, due to the lack of Plasma monsters. Your team, then, should consist of Jellbilly, Dragong, and Fung Pray. If your Dragong isn't already trained, train it to level 17 or to level 18 to have a greater chance of success.

Quest Rewards[]

Completing the entire Quest rewards the following:

Notes[]

  • Axis of Ether is the last main Double-Element Ethereal quest in the game.
  • The Trophy of this Quest is the only Decoration whose shadow is not "normal". Rather, it is translucent red.
