Description[]
The Applesauce is the first Masher Crafting Item and overall, the second Crafting Item to be unlocked in the game. Its Trading Post Price Range is 180 - 300 Coins (). It is unlocked at Level 2 as part of the tutorial.
Uses[]
Applesauces are needed to craft into Apple Juice in the Juicer, which requires two loads Applesauce, Booster Shots in the Apothecary, which requires one, and Mud Pies in the Bakery, which also requires one.

Applesauces can also be fed directly to Monsters and can be used in the Skyship.
Crafting[]
To craft an Applesauce, 2 Apples () must be made or purchased, and processed in the Masher. Doing so will start "mashing" the Apples down. To start crafting the Applesauce, drag the "Applesauce" icon into the Structure. It takes 30 seconds to complete crafting of one Applesauce, down to 20 seconds on a max-level Masher.
Once an Applesauce has been collected from crafting it, it rewards 1 per Applesauce.
Skyship Requirements[]
When required in the Skyship, the 3 orders will require 3-6 loads of Applesauce, making a total of 9, 12, 15 or 18.
Strategy[]
It is strategically easy to make a mass-production of Applesauce when making lots of Apples for the Applesauce production. Have plenty of slots for their Masher(s) and grow plenty of Apples in their Fruit Trees. (if the player has 6 slots or more vacant in their Vault). Place as much Applesauce into the Masher(s) as possible and wait 30 seconds for each new one to come out. Collect some Apples beforehand and place more Apples into the Masher(s). Ensure the amount of Applesauce is taken to the Market to be sold or used for Apple Juice because a player might accidentally make their Vault too full (or unless they have plenty of slots then that is okay).
Formerly you could use Apple x5 (quintuple Apple)'s for Apples, then collect Applesauce, use or sell the Applesauce, collect one Apple x5, then place two Applesauces into the Masher. Then quickly collect another Quintuple Apple and place as many Applesauces into the Masher as possible. You could repeat this process until all Masher(s) for the Applesauce were full or until all Quintuple Apples were used, whichever happened first, being helpful for when you went offline, as you would have a supply of Apples to start crafting Applesauce the next time. However as of Version 2.0.0, this technique is no longer viable.
Producing from Scratch[]
The following table shows the list of Crafting Items involved in the production of Applesauce. It shows what Structures are required, what Crafting Items are being involved in each Structure, what recipes are required in each Structure, the total Crafting Items required to make the required ingredient Crafting Item(s) from scratch, the crafting time of the Crafting Items, and the total time required to make each ingredient Crafting Item from scratch.
The total cumulative time to make this Crafting Item from scratch is 45 seconds.
Please note that the cumulative crafting time takes note of the fact that primary crafting items produced from the same structure (the Fruit Tree in this case) can be crafted simultaneously if not all queue slots are used.
Structure Required |
Ingredient Crafting Item(s) involved |
Recipe | Cumulative Recipe |
Crafting Time | Cumulative Time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Fruit Tree |
Apple (x2) |
N/A | N/A | 15 seconds | 15 seconds |
Notes[]
- The Applesauce resembles a red bowl of mashed applesauce (or puree) with a thin slice of an apple on top of it.
- The Applesauce is the second-fastest Crafting Item, behind Apple.
- In Version 2.3.0, all items in the Market quintupled in value. The Applesauce's previous price range was 36 - 60 Coins ().
