Anniversary Month is a Seasonal Event celebrated throughout the Monster World, but Gold Island is decorated for it. Starting in 2021, it became an Element manifested by Jam Boree, which is exclusively bred on Seasonal Shanty. Since 2023, it can be placed on Gold Island as well. As the name suggests, the celebration is for the anniversary of My Singing Monsters. My Singing Monsters was released worldwide on September 4th, 2012, and My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire was released worldwide on September 23rd, 2015. The Seasonal Event is celebrated from the end of August to Early October, making it the longest lasting Seasonal Event.

During Anniversary Month, new content releases and special promotions are always going on, such as all Rares and Epics in the game becoming available. Also, Rare and Epic Jam Boree become available as well as all Anniversary Monument decorations. Common Jam Boree is always available to be bred on Seasonal Shanty and all variants can always be placed on Gold Island.

From 2022 to 2023, Anniversary Month was 'extended' into Anniversary Year to celebrate 10 years of My Singing Monsters. During this time, several new Monsters and features were added to the game.

Seasonal Island Skin[]

Main article: Anniversary Month (Island Skin)

Since 2013, Gold Island has changed appearance for Anniversary Month, with the emerald jewel on the Colossal’s crown changing numbers each year to match the respective anniversary. In 2023, it was re-introduced as an Island Skin, however it cannot be purchased and doesn't provide any boosts.

Promotions[]

Time of the Season[]

Time of the Season is a promotion that started in the 2nd Anniversary Month celebration during 2014. During the promotion, all Seasonal Monsters are available to buy or breed. Starting in 2019, Seasonal Decorations and Obstacles are also available to buy, and in 2022, Seasonal Costumes were also made available. Seasonal Island Skins are not included. Starting on 2021, the Time of the Season promotion was split up to only include a few Seasonals per week. In 2022 and 2023, these promotions were paired with the corresponding Island Spotlight promotions.

Island Spotlights[]

Island Spotlight is a promotion that started in the 10th Anniversary Month celebration during 2022. During the promotion, all limited-time Monsters are available to breed, or buy in the StarShop or Market, for the three featured islands that week. This includes, Rares, Epics, and when paired with the Time of the Season event, Seasonals. The diamond Castle upgrades are also 50% off for the featured Islands. In Anniversary Months before 2022, Castles were simply put on sale for all Islands for one promotion.

Notice that, on the 2022 Spotlight featuring Plant, Bone and Seasonal Shanty, Rare Drumpler was included alongside Bone Island's Monsters. This was a mistake, because Drumpler and its variants don't exist on Bone Island. Later during the promotion, it was replaced by a Rare Fwog.

Grand Finale[]

Grand Finale is a promotion that started in the 8th Anniversary Month celebration during 2020. During the promotion, all limited time Monsters are available to buy or breed. It is the same as the The More The Merrier promotion during the Festival of Yay.

Fashion Show[]

Starting in 2021, all Costumes become available during this promotion. This sale also includes all Seasonal Costumes. A similar sale happens during Festival of Yay, but it does not include Seasonal Costumes.

Smoke & Mirrors[]

Since 2017, all Mirror Islands get discounted by 50% during Anniversary Month. Starting in 2019, this sale will occur one week before Anniversary Month starts.

Eye Candy[]

Eye Candy is a promotion that started in the 2nd Anniversary Month celebration during 2014, in the form of an un-named promotion. During the promotion, Animated, StarShop, and Playground decorations are 50% off. In 2014, only Animated Decorations were included, but starting in 2016 StarShop decorations were also included in the sale. In 2015 and from 2018 to 2020, there was no animated decoration promotion. The promotion returned in 2021 along with a Time of the Season. In 2022, it got the official name "Eye Candy", and Playground decorations were added to the promotion.

Amber Reprise[]

During Anniversary Month, all Amber Island Vessels become available. This may prevent a new Fire variant from releasing.

Bed Boon[]

During this promotion, all Amber Island Castle upgrades are 50% off. This sale also happens during Echoes of Eco. This sale is not part of the Island Spotlight sales, because Amber Island does not get an Island Spotlight.

Mark My Werds[]

This promotion is not exclusive to Anniversary Month, but it does occur during Anniversary Month every year. During this promotion, all Werdos are discounted by 50%.

Roamin' Candle[]

During this promotion, Rare Jam Boree becomes available on Seasonal Shanty.

And Many More![]

During this promotion, Rare Jam Boree and Epic Jam Boree become available on Seasonal Shanty.

Other Promotions[]

Other promotions, such as Breeding Bonanzas, and sales for Wubbox, Werdos, Wishing Torches, Structures, Glowbes, and Dipsters' "Hole in One" sale also occur during Anniversary Month. However, these are not exclusive to the celebration, and happen during other Seasonal Events, weekend sales, or Cyber Week.

Notes[]

  • In 2014, even though the celebration ended on September 30th, the planned update, version 1.3.0, couldn't arrive on the same date. Instead, the last two special offers and sales were extended.
  • Even though the event has existed since 2013, it did not receive an element nor a Seasonal Monster until 2021.
    • This was the only Seasonal Event to have had an island be decorated without an accompanying Monster, until 2023 when Jam Boree finally joined Gold Island.
  • The price for the Anniversary Monument Decorations correlate to the year each Decoration represents. For example, the 10th Anniversary Monument costs 2,022 Coins, since it released in 2022.
  • It was confirmed in the August 2023 episode of My Singing Monsters Live, that the 11th Anniversary Monument will release during Anniversary Month 2023. This implies that every year there will be new Anniversary Monuments.
  • In MSMPokeGamer's Vlog at PAX West, it was confirmed that there will not be a "Colossal Island" during Anniversary Month 2023.
  • Yearly, on the birthday of My Singing Monsters (September 4), players will be awarded with Diamonds.
  • Anniversary Month has the most Seasonal decorations out of any season, with 12.
    • It’s also one of only two Seasonal Events to have more than 4 decorations, with the other being Spooktacle.
      • Unlike Spooktacle, however, it’s the only Seasonal Event to get a new decoration each year.
  • Anniversary Month is the only Seasonal Event that is not celebrated Out of Season, meaning that Rare Jam Boree and Epic Jam Boree are only ever available during Anniversary Month.
  • Anniversary Month is currently the only Seasonal Event to not receive any costumes.
