The following is an excerpt retrieved from the Monster development journals of an unidentified Colossal, chronicling some of their earliest recorded efforts in the pocket dimension:
“At the moment, the 'Droah' is—just as we feared—yet another failed attempt. The large, spherical body was the perfect canvas for innovation, and the team quickly added their wildest ideas to the design: a stalk-like body, a wide, gaping mouth, arrays of sharp (and admittedly pointless) teeth, and many more. We were so caught up in our imagination that we forgot that the design was for the Core Water Elemental. Complications arose as the sheer amount of cosmetics left no room for eyes, potentially leaving the final product blind and prone to accidental collisions. With no one willing to compromise, the answer was clear: set aside this prototype and go back to the drawing board. Current goals aim to simplify the design and include visual apparatuses, but I’m hoping I can salvage the prominent lips and tendrils of what could’ve been and include them into what’s to come.”
Seemingly added much later, another Colossal's notes have been scribbled in the margin:
“Returning to Droah with a stroke of genius, I was able to turn the scrapped concept into something special. By modifying the subjects vicious jaws (via retractable incisors) we realized that the monsters eyes could conveniently be fitted inside its mouth! This was a major breakthrough, but more work needed to be done; by attaching aquatic fins to the head and supporting the whole structure with a sturdy type of coral, the original marine vision was brought to life. The Water Primordial, armed to the teeth and eyes, is now ready to make a splash wherever it goes.”
