Decided to doodle some Monsterlings of various ages
Started out as just Tiawa but then I drew a bunch of other random ones.
And while drawing this I was having a lot of thoughts about Monster growth and childhood. So you get to read them all.
For no other reasons besides simplicity, all Monster species age at the same rate as humans do. No sudden magic portal growth, that’s just a game mechanic. But even more importantly as 'this is just a game mechanic', THE CHILDREN CANNOT BREED. I will NOT be letting the kids have kids, or have an entire continent to themselves for that matter
For species that grow an extra set of limbs, they grow them very early in life, they’re still tiny babies when they start getting them.
Speaking of growing limbs I think it’s hilarious that in the Monster World it’s probably normal to say “Look our son’s legs are finally coming in 😊🥰”
Most winged/flying species learn to fly around ages 6-10. Depends quite a bit on the individual, not just the species.
And some more specific ones for the some species included in this post:
Tring crystals get larger and more numerous the older they get (they're born bald lol). This causes them to become heavier and less flexible as they grow, which is why Trings start making the transition to walking on all fours around their early teen years.
Dandidee are stuck with the yellow petals until a similar age to the Tring thing, where they start cycling their hair throughout the year like dandelion plants do
Since Yawstritches (and many other Mythicals) are a nomadic culture, they carry very young children such as the one depicted in cloth pouches around their necks/bodies. They also learn to fly quite young because of this. Yawstritches will stop for longer if there’s babies in the group.
Baby Tiawas probably look really ugly for most of their growth I’m sorry but that’s what happens when your eye moves across your face to make way for the other one to grow.

I would make an apology post about me not actually being a jar of cheese irl, but I mostly use the alien me as my main persona, and I don’t think I’ve ever used Jar of Cheese (my object show oc) ever on this wiki, so the joke doesn’t work lol

No. I'm Not Adding It On The Monsters On The Picture. That's Too Hard.
Fyi, this isn't supposed to be accurate at all to in-game. The castle is supposed to be the gate to that district (where you can go in and out the walls) and I know it doesn't fit but it's all I could find.
Past occurences have traumatized me. This might've not taken even 10 minutes for you but it took 2 hours for me, for whatever reason. Probably because of my many fears while using comic studio, including Chrome's auto-refreshes while going out of the tab to find reference, accidental refreshes by myself and other stuff.
