Ethereal Workshop

This is an Ethereal Workshop-themed Decoration I’d call the Specimen (number) Sculpture.

I’d honestly think there would be a contest where people would submit their (now outdated) Ethereal Workshop predictions, and a lucky few would have their monsters added as Decorations.

Anyway here’s an example: Agoose’s Apfeldrakel.

Name: Specimen 001 Sculpture

Bio:

Specimen 001, often dubbed “Apfeldrakel”, was said to inhabit the same elements as Oogiddy, but it also sounded like an Apfelregal. It is theorized that its wings weren’t used as actual wings, but rather as lungs and bellows for the monster and its young. Also, it’s mechanical elements seem to look like they came from Air Island.

So it uses breeding, but with a twist. Since the triples, quads and quint are all too unstable to be bred normally, the player must use a special version of the breeding structure known as the Stabilized Breeding Structure. This special variant is capable of stabilizing the ethereal elements enough so that the workshop monsters can be bred. However, the technology isn’t perfect, so it’s prone to malfunctions.

How it works: like a regular breeding structure, you must select two monsters to breed. However, there’s a new instability meter, which works similarly to the crucible. You can use Shards or Krystillium (which is rarely produced by Wublins and Celestials, and is more effective than shards) to increase the instability level. The higher the level, the higher the chances are of getting rarer monsters and the breeding being successful, but so are the chances of a malfunction.

So what is a malfunction?

Like an unsuccessful synthesizing attempt, you won’t get any monsters back. Instead, you’ll get varied amounts of any currencies (except wildcards). Additionally, some of your unattuned meebs on Ethereal Workshop may become attuned to random elements. However, the structure will need to take some time to cool off and repair itself, so there’ll be a cool down. The amount of time you have to wait is dependent on the amount of elements a monster has.

Single: 4 hours

Double: 12 Hours

Triple: 1 Day

Quad: 1 Day, 12 Hours

Quint/BeMeebEth: 2 days

Breeding failures can happen and work like on any other island. They’re completely separate from malfunctions. The incubator works the same as well, but there are infinite beds.

The single elementals (and only the single elementals) must be teleported to the island at level 15, and teleporting costs 8,000 shards and is only usable on Ethereal Island.

The monsters on this island mainly produce shards, but they may also produce diamonds, keys and very rarely, Krystillium.

• tuskski could enter the pipe things attached to zarroë's head, as that is apparently a secret way to enter as shown in the season of love trailer (i remember reading this in the notes section of the ethereal workshop page but that part might've been removed)

• cloverspell because that seems to take place in tuskski's month (tuskski quintessence, rare tuskski, and tuskski itself, also tuskski is on faerie where the event is celebrated)

• anniversary because that seems like a very bbb thing they'd do

Even after accepting that were not getting Rarethereal Workshop this year, that one area of my brain is still trying to convince me otherwise. Last night, I had a dream that Rare Yooreek released today, and since then, Workshop hasn't left my brain. So I have here one final brain blast, and I think this is as perfect as it will get.

One of the few problem I had with v3 was the start date. I made an assumption about Rare Meebkin's release lining up with the final Epic Ethereal Double, which made it less likely. Now, I don’t really care about finishing the Epic Double before the Rare Triples. The only reason Rare and Epic Fires are releasing simultaneously is because of Amber Island adding new Fires to the main game, and I think it’ll work the same with Workshop. So for this, I decided to give an proper reason for the gap between BeMeebEth and Rare Meebkin. My first though was combining 28 and 49 to make a 77 day gap, but that date would've fallen on today, and I don't see a Rare Meebkin in sight. So my next idea was combining 28, 49, and the OG 63, which gave me 140 days. I liked this one, so I ran with it.

Having the start date as January 22nd lead to a Rare Timeline I actually like better that the one from v3 for two reasons. Firstly, Rare BeMeebEth releases on the first week of September just like its common counterpart. Secondly, v3 had two April releases back to back, but this one has no duplicates.

Now for the Epics, I had 3 thoughts. First I thought about keeping it the same as v3 and having no extended gap between Rares and Epics. While that one also has Epic BeMeebEth release on the first Wednesday of September, it also has another September release, and it just doesn’t feel right having anything besides a BeMeebEth variant release in Anniversary Month. My next idea was another 140 days gap, but that lead to Epic BeMeebEth in December, so I didn’t even bother putting it into my sheet. My final idea was to go back to 63 days, and by sheer coincidence, that ended up making the Epic Timeline perfectly match the one from v3, and that was the part of the v3 timeline that I thought had no big problems, so it all worked out.

So that’s it. After months of brainstorming, and procrastinating on schoolwork to make my timelines, I’ve found the one. I know I said this last time, but I mean it now. This is the last timeline I’m making unless Rarethereal Workshop begins out of nowhere. Overthinking MSM is one of my favorite pastimes, so I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. But that’s enough dwelling on the future, let’s appreciate the present, like Rare Clavi Gnat :D
