I’m bad at naming monsters

Alright, bet.

I dug into the Shhimmer Depths of my mind and pick out 12 of my favorite monsters(I forgot about Clavi Gnat, don't worry about it). Piplash being my all-time favorite I had to put it at the top. I just kinda placed every monster as I was going, so that's why the sizing is all messy. It being an Islet, I had to put a eye on it. I don't know where that eye PNG came from, I just found it on my computer. To represent Workshop being favorite island & considering every monster to be honorable mentions, I decided to make EW the backdrop but with inverted colors because why not. Finally, you're probably wondering what that white blob is. That's the Primordial stand-in. Its name is Chiip ‘n Waal. It's an monster I made for a video two years ago based on a childhood idea from nine years ago. Even though nowadays, I don't think that video is very good, but this felt like a good opportunity to honor the one and only fan monster I ever made.

Hoax: He pretends to be an Owl in his Major Form. (His Minor Form is his True Form)

Arcorina:

Ruin: Also Self Explanatory (Her Minor Form is her Future Self, I guess)

Shhimmer:

Depths: His major form is based off of a Flatworm and his Minor Form is based off of a Mantis Shrimp.

Scallyrags:

Control: Uh, do I have to explain this? (The Hat I guess?)

Hoax: The "Trenchcoat" is actually the Wings (And the monsters are actually three monsters in one)

Dakktyl:

Hoax: He fakes his youth (I think)

Ruin: He collapses and has a broken back in his Minor Form.

Jerm:

Control: Self Explanatory (He spawns his seed thingies, he is the Cycle Paironormal after all)

Hoax: Um, I dunno man.

Ruin: He becomes a tree in his Minor Form.

I got my queen Major Dakktyl. I usually try not to use primarily gendered labels for monsters, but there’s no better labels for this goober imo.

Right in the middle where it belongs. Oh yeah, now that I have it myself, and it’s been over a month since it came out, I can officially say for certain…

Major Dakktyl is my new 3rd favorite monster, knocking Attmoz out of its spot on my profile. I haven’t instantly fallen in love with a monster to this extent since Piplash. So much personality put into a monster that doesn’t even have a face.

I posted about it on Tumblr, and it got so much traction that I had to turn off notifications. Dakktyl is a fan favorite without a doubt.

Man, I sure hope this monster’s Minor half isn’t painfully clinging to life…

There's Piplash (5), Flasque (4), Auglur (3), Teeter-Tauter (2), Knurv (1), Arackulele (1), Dakktyl (1), Scallyrags (1), and Shhimmer (1).

I used to ship Dakktyl × Scallyrags, but ever since the Minor form came out that revealed Scallyrags was just three children, I stopped shipping them. There's nothing explicit in the text, but only the mention of Dakktyl calling Scallyrags, "Scally babe."

Teeter-Tauter's casual outfit. My friend (@BrtshGentlemen) requested they should wear cat ears and a cat tail. Tauter's cat tail is a velcro belt attached to the back leg.

Since Piplash is theorized to be part of the Pomily, I had to draw my energetic son cheerleading.

I hope I got the grammar right since I'm still studying, Piplash is supposed to be saying,

"Uwaaah! This is fuuun! Hey, hey, let's look at that shop over there!"

Along with this, I hope Auglur's really saying,

"Wanna buy something? Here, take my money with you. It's alright."

My friend, Archie, called her my sugar mommy.
