My Singing Monsters

The Celestials are a class of Monsters consisting of twelve species exclusive to Celestial Island. They first appeared in Dawn of Fire on Starhenge. In the game's lore, Starhenge crashed on an unknown Colossal, creating Celestial Island.

They cannot breed, nor can they be bred. Instead, they need to be zapped by eggs from other islands into the dormant Celestials on Celestial Island, identical to Wublins. Once all required eggs have been zapped to a Celestial, it can be revived. In their dormant forms, Celestials do not produce Currency, nor do they contribute to the Island's song in any way. Once they are revived, however, they begin singing and producing several different types of currency (allowing for Diamond Farming), and they are no longer in statue form.

Each Celestial has a different time limit. If all required eggs are not zapped into a dormant Celestial by the end of the time limit, the eggs will expire, and the player will have to try again. The time begins when the first egg is zapped into a Celestial.

About[]

The Celestials were first seen in My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire on the Island of Starhenge. You could acquire them by completing the star chart each month, tied to that month's Celestial. Each month represents a different Celestial. Now, you can see them residing on Celestial Island in the main game, where they can be bought from the Market for diamonds as statues. To revive the Celestials, Eggs must be zapped into them. The Eggs required are based on the element they represent. Hornacle, Glaishur, Blasoom, Torrt, and Attmoz require at least 1 of every 1-3 element monster of their element and the Quad from the associated island. Syncopite, Vhamp, Scaratar, Loodvigg, and Plixie require at least 1 of every Natural Monster egg from the Natural Island the Ethereal can be bred on. Furnoss requires at least 1 of every Natural and Fire Monster on Fire Haven. And finally, Galvana requires at least 1 of all Natural Monsters, and at least 1 of each Fire Monster on Fire Haven. Upon awakening, the Celestials will begin producing currency, and can go through ascension into Adult Celestials.

Adult Celestials[]

Adult Celestials were added to My Singing Monsters on August 2nd, 2023. Currently, only Adult Scaratar, Adult Loodvigg, Adult Torrt, Adult Plixie, Adult Attmoz, Adult Hornacle, Adult Furnoss, and Adult Glaishur are available, but more will be made available in the coming months. During a Celestial's corresponding month, the Adult variant will be made available, but it will have to be completed during that month only. The Celestials must be awakened in order to ascend to their Adult forms. The Adult version will require a new set of Eggs to zap, including new Flex Eggs.

Once all eggs have been obtained, it will cost Keys to complete the ascension. Due to this process, Adult Celestials will start making Keys, in addition to Coins, Shards, Treats, and Diamonds.

Elder Celestials[]

Elder Celestials are an upcoming form of the Celestials currently only mentioned in the Book of Monsters. It is unknown exactly what these Monsters will look like, although they are speculated to resemble the Celestials seen on Starhenge. It was hinted at in an MSM Live episode that the Elder Celestials will start releasing in August 2024 with Elder Scaratar, after all Adult Celestials have been introduced.

Wildcards[]

As of October 11, 2023, the Celestials can now be ascended prior to all the eggs being filled. This is via a process called Early Ascension. Ascending a Celestial early is risky, and not always successful. Attempting an Early Ascension costs the same amount of Keys as a normal Ascension, and the Keys will be spent regardless of if the attempt fails or succeeds. If the Early Ascension fails, a majority of the eggs in the inventory will be lost, but as compensation, you can gain a Wildcard, which can be added to any monster's inventory as a substitute for missing eggs.

Associated Months[]

During a Celestial's associated month, it will be available to purchase for 60% off, and its Adult form will be available to obtain. The full list is below.

Earnings[]

The Celestials generate random types of Currency (Coins, Diamonds, Shards, or Treats) similarly to the way Wublins do on Wublin Island. Specifically, the server decides a time interval until the currency is ready, evenly distributed between 6-12 hours, and a currency type. For Young Celestials, Coins, Treats, and Shards are generated at the same hourly rate as Common Wublins, namely 6,500 coins/hour, 1,200 treats/hour, or 24 shards/hour. The time interval is multiplied by this rate to give the amount of currency. Diamonds are produced at a flat rate of 2 per collection, regardless of the time interval. The percentage chance of each currency is not known for certain, but it appears to be approximately a 5% chance of Diamonds, with the other currency types dividing the remaining percentages evenly, at around 31⅔% each.

Adult Celestials can generate Keys in addition to Coins, Diamonds, Shards, and Treats. The percentage chances of each currency type are currently unknown. They produce Coins, Treats, and Shards at the same hourly rates as common Wublins, namely 6,500 coins/hour, 1,200 treats/hour, or 24 shards/hour. They produce 3 Diamonds per collection, 1 more than their Young counterparts, and 1 Key per collection.

Cost of Celestials[]

To buy every Celestial at full price, it costs 1,445 Diamonds. However, 390 Diamonds can be obtained by completing the Goals when buying a Celestial for the first time. If a Celestial is bought for the first time at a discount, the full amount is still awarded for completing the goal. Buying each of the Celestials during their associated months over the course of the year, and subtracting the rebate for the Goal, the first set of Celestials only costs 188 Diamonds. Each additional set costs a total of 578 Diamonds if each is bought during the associated month.

Time to Break Even[]

Using the current best estimate of a 5% chance of collecting diamonds, with 2 diamonds at each collection, and assuming collection twice a day, we expect to get about 0.2 Diamonds on average per day. That gives the following times for Celestial Diamond Farms to generate as many diamonds as they cost to buy. In summary, the first set of Celestials, if bought on their associated months, pay for themselves within 2-4 months. Additional Celestials bought on their associated months take around 6 months to a year to break even, while Celestials bought at full price take 1-2 years to pay off.

Notes[]

  • Every Celestial represents a month of the year and an element, being the 5 Natural elements, the Fire Element, the 5 Ethereal elements, and the single Supernatural element, Electricity.
    • Despite all the Celestials representing an element, there are several elements that aren't represented by a Celestial. Those are the Legendary, Seasonal, Dipster, Mythical, and Magical elements.
    • Due to the Celestials all being created during the Big Clangor, the birth of the Monster World, and their association with the 12 months of the calendar year in the Human World, it is unlikely that Celestials representing any of the four Magical Elements will be discovered.[1] This likely applies to the other unrepresented Elements as well.
  • The Celestials are discounted 60% during the month they represent. All Celestials have also been discounted 50% for a few days during Anniversary Month each year.
  • Dipster, Electricity, and Celestial are the only elements in My Singing Monsters that cannot be obtained by breeding.
  • The Celestials and Epic Wubbox are the only monsters in the entire series that require the use of Diamonds to be obtained. While other monsters can be bought with Diamonds, these monsters can also be obtained through breeding.
    • Despite costing diamonds, the Celestials Sell for Coins, meaning they can be bought back in the Market for Coins.
  • The Celestials are the first Monsters in both My Singing Monsters games that originated in Dawn of Fire and were later introduced to My Singing Monsters.
    • The Fire-Elementals from Dawn of Fire, other than Kayna (which was able to be found on Tribal Island before), came later, being the second Monsters in both MSM games that came from Dawn of Fire.
  • The Natural Monsters that found the Ethereal Monsters share that Ethereal Element in the Natural Island it represents. i.e. Hornacle found Syncopite, and Syncopite represents Crystal, which is available on Water Island, and its main Element is Water, which Hornacle represents. The same goes with Torrt finding Scaratar, Glaishur finding Loodvigg, Blasoom finding Plixie, and Attmoz finding Vhamp.
    • Not only this, but all Young Celestials are powered by either only Monsters that are made from the element they represent, or, in the case of the Young Celestials, which represent Ethereal elements, are powered by the Monsters which inhabit the island that the Monster of their element inhabits, i.e. Plixie can only be powered by Monsters that can be found on Plant Island because Ghazt can be found there.
  • Zapping a Monster to a Celestial will give the same XP as the Monster had been placed on the Island.
  • If a Celestial is muted before it ascends, it will become unmuted when it does.
  • During Extra-Life 2021, a reading from an ancient text revealed that the Colossals taught the Celestials how to "perform music in a voice or style unique to them", and created Starhenge to give the Celestials a place to sing in harmony.
  • Celestial was the second Element in the original game to not exist on any of the Natural Islands.
  • Fire Monsters (on Fire Haven) are only required for Furnoss and Galvana.
  • To revive one of each Celestial, the following amounts of eggs are needed:
    • Tweedles: 69
    • Potbellies: 90
    • Noggins: 306
    • Toe Jammers: 195
    • Mammotts: 150

  • The Celestials seem to be associated with the Magical Islands that took the places of the Outer Islands they were patrons for. This is evident with Scaratar requiring Faerie Monster Eggs to ascend, and Cloud Island's patron Celestial is Scaratar. According to the September 2023 My Singing Monsters Live, some other Celestial inventories will be based on this.
    • Since Light Island took the place of Party Island, Light Island would be associated with Hornacle, Furnoss, and Blasoom.
    • Since Psychic Island took the place of Space Island, Psychic Island would be associated with Glaishur, Vhamp, and Plixie.
    • Since Faerie Island took the place of Cloud Island, Faerie Island would be associated with Galvana, Scaratar, and Attmoz.
    • Since Bone Island took the place of Cave Island, Bone Island would be associated with Syncopite, Loodvigg, and Torrt.
  • There used to be a bug where the animation for ascending Loodvigg mistakenly used Scaratar's constellation instead. This was fixed later on.
  • Looking at the current Inventory of the Adult Celestials, the Seasonals that are required for each Celestial are celebrated in their respective months. The only exception is Adult Loodvigg since Jam Boree can't be zapped from Seasonal Shanty. With this, we can suspect the remaining Seasonal Eggs for the remaining Celestials:
    • Blasoom - Blabbit
    • Syncopite - Spurrit
    • Vhamp - Monculus
    • Galvana - Hoola
  • According to adult Furnoss' bio, Furnoss is the oldest Celestial.
